Sony reveals 33 titles for Japan's adhocParty

Japan's adhocParty service sounds like a promising new feature. The ability to transform one's local ad hoc multiplayer games into an over-the-net experience via a PS3 is certainly something we have to give credit to Sony for. However, what games are compatible with the service? Quite a lot really -- 33 to be exact, as Sony reveals. That's not bad for a completely free service. See a full list of all 33 titles after the break.

today: Japan, tomorrow: the world hopefully. But they're assuming we all own ps3s. they need to work on a psn service compatible for psp and psp only, not some cross-platform service

That would be great. The only thing MGA2 is missing is this, I think.
But I don't have a PS3 so it would be useless to me. :(

I don't want a PS3.

I should not be forced into buying one, just so I can play PSP games online.

stop being lazy and make the games playable over Infrastructure and stop trying to use the PSP to boost the floptastic PS3 sales.

You are not forced into anything, if you don't want to, then don't buy a PS3...

And btw, this adhocParty feature is being made by Sony, most, if not all, of the titles on the list are from non-Sony developers, you should be bitching at them, not at Sony whom is actually giving this great feature.

Why don't they just rename it 'Playstation 3 Addon', Christ. Every new feature requires a PS3 to use.

Exactly! why the hell do they HAVE to attach the PSP to the PS3 so forcefully. why can't the PSP be its own system? you shouldn't need to have a PS3 to get the best out of your PSP.

you certainly don't need a PSP to get the most out of your Blu-Ray Player, do you?

Adhoc Party is a cheap marketing alternative to simply making the games playable over Infrastructure, design to sell more Blu-Ray Players.

mark my words, the amount of good Infrastructure games(as if there are a lot to begin with) on the PSP will go down as the amount of Adhoc Party games go up.

Oh crap. They listed basically the three gundam games I actually own. Too bad that I wont be able to use it in Canada since they are imported games. Sigh...

And first of all I dont even have a PS3. I dont even think adhoc party is out here.
