Far Cry 2 getting DLC by end of month

The Fortune's Pack DLC for Far Cry 2 will include:
Single-Player Mode
- Three brand-new weapons:
Silenced shotgun; Sawed-off shotgun; Crossbow - Two new vehicles:
Unimog; Quad
- Four new maps:
Cheap Labor; Last Resort; Lake Smear; Fort Fury - New single-player weapons and vehicles also available in multiplayer

Question for those who have the game..
I know you can make custom maps for mulitplayer use.
Are the tools that are provided for this feature good enough to make excellent maps?
This is one of those things that could make me get this game.

Yes the tools are good enough to make excellent maps provided you have patience to navigate the menus on a console, a good amount of time and it of course would require some creativity. It's a great game. Very solid and addictive. Recommended Highly. Plus how can you pass up the soon to be silenced shotgun and sawed off!

I was just thinking the same thing. "Silenced Shotgun" sounds like an oxymoron....

Theoretically you could create the same stuff the developers create as all the objects from the game are available in the bank. You can even create stuff that is better than theirs considering we don't have to stay within the confines of the story. I've played some really great multi maps.

1 - Can you make outside and inside maps?
2 - Can you set up Co-op type missions on your created map?

Errrm. What Bugs? The only game that was reported to have bugs was Fallout 3. maybe your getting this game mixed up with Fallout 3, because Far Cry 2 is damn well near flawless

my far cry 2 looses sound with some guns, it like cuts in and out, didnt start happening untill about 40% into the game tho but its enoying, and also ranked matches kick you off after one match so you cant play through a set of maps, just one, and although i havnt had it happen to me the ubi forum is full off people complaining about bugs in the missions on top of the 2 problems i have

I don't think I'm confusing them. I know all about Fallout 3's issues. I already got the game 2nd hand because whoever bought it first got fed up with it.

First thing, dont listen to Anyone on the Ubi forums. They make up issues and bugs. Apparently they all hate how different FC2 is from FC1 so they are making up bugs and issues to "Sabotage" it.. I have never had a single issue with FC2 and ive got over 40 hours of playtime!

far cry 2 is the most boring game ive ever played , the dlc was a waste of money and this is no game of the year !! the game didnt get awards or nothing compared to far cry 1. my game of the year is resistance 2 , and Killzone 2 will be game of the year 09 for definite, far cry 2's AI are stupid and extremly accurate, like a shotgun can be used as a sniper rifle , there is no such thing as sneaking(yes i bought the camo) and AI can still see me:( terrible physics and awful story , missions are REPETIVIE !! this game is a overhyped mess just like EA games
