Crazy-go-nuts black Friday shopping week has only one new release, eh? Hope that works out for ya, DeepSilver. Hard to tell if Mytran Wars will be any good, but the art style sure is pretty.

They're not lucky, people in Japan actually buy PSP games, unlike people in the West.

It's not that Japan is so lucky; rather, its that they are not cheap like North Americans. They live for their games - they buy them, play them, discuss them, live them, etc. This doesn't occur in North America with the exception of the forums. But in Japan, gaming culture is way of life - not so over here. The market in Japan is substantially greater than that in North America; also Sony, despite its indication otherwise, pays more attention to Japan then it does here. Even in the recent adds, look at how they market the device in NA (Canada to be specific) - not as a gaming device but rather as a multimedia device. Japan is marketed as a gaming device.

Releasing one game this close to the holiday season also doesnt send "reasurrances" to those people who have yet to buy the system. Poor marketing decision that will only hurt Sony so the prospects do not look that good.

Yes, I'm sure 2009 will be better - but we've been hearing that mantra from Sony and the fanboys for years now. Maybe this time it will come true. ;)

Damn, some nice looking Japanese games there. I've already imported Macross and Gundam vs Gundam - seems the only games worth buying are Japanese at the moment. I agree with the comments regarding voting with your wallet - I may run CFW, but I pay for the games I like in a bid to support the system. Sadly it doesn't appear to be working if this release list is any indication - hell, we have it worse in the UK than you guys in the States - I had to import Wild Arms XF and Jeane D'Arc. It's almost depressing.
