Dead Space demo arriving tomorrow

In case you didn't know, the PSN update this week will take place Tuesday, November 25th, instead of the usual Thursday because of the Thanksgiving holiday. So what pre-holiday treat does EA have planned for us? Apparently, they recommend practicing our dismemberment skills "on some Necromorphs ... before you carve your turkey" by playing the Dead Space demo that will be released tomorrow. Unless you are in Europe -- in which case, you'll be trying out the demo for the sci-fi survival horror title on Thursday, November 27th. Still on the fence about the game? You can always check out our full Dead Space review.

Something to do while my PS3 BR-D is broken :)
PSN: John-Paul-Jones @ Nov 24th 2008 3:54PM
Same here, bro. I've been too lazy to call tech support.
:(
DrunkMiffy @ Nov 25th 2008 2:37AM
Oh, I've called them xD I called them 2 weeks ago in fact, but they can't collect it until this thursday.. God knows when I'll get it back lol.. If it's not here for christmas though, there'll be murders..
Hopefully I'll have bought CoD5 off Ebay by then too :)
Eddie @ Nov 24th 2008 2:31PM
Awesome. Can't wait to try it out :]
ModeMan101 @ Nov 24th 2008 3:13PM
Excellent! I can download the demo just in time to take my PS3 up to the in-laws', and scare the crap out of the missus' grandmother.
Tez @ Nov 24th 2008 3:13PM
It really should be a rule that a demo needs to be out in the first week or release (or earlier). Too many devs will take advantage of it by not releasing a demo for their shitty game until word has already gotten out that it's shitty.
Not that Dead Space is shitty, I quite enjoyed the first 2/3 of it.
KoSzNik @ Nov 24th 2008 2:37PM
I was thinking about buying this game... now i will have the opportunity to check it out before buying and then i will decide... now, just wait till thursday:)
HAAS599 @ Nov 24th 2008 3:06PM
This game is a rental at the very least.
tuaamin13 @ Nov 24th 2008 9:07PM
$30 @ Target on Black Friday (360 and PS3 versions).
Dan @ Nov 24th 2008 2:42PM
Target is having this game available for $30 dollars this friday. From everything I have seen and read, I am picking this up. No need for a demo for me.
The Pirate @ Nov 24th 2008 3:02PM
Hmm, ill try it out. As i was telling Jem a few days ago, im not a big Horror fan, so i dont know if i will pick up Dead Space. This demo will help me decide, i guess
SSG @ Nov 24th 2008 4:18PM
Same here bro. My little brother doesn't seem to be affected by horror games, but they freak the crap out of me.
Codex @ Nov 24th 2008 3:01PM
Might have to get this...after i get fallout 3 l.e. eh.
343 Guilty Fart @ Nov 24th 2008 3:03PM
Cool. Thanks for the heads-up.
Jake @ Nov 24th 2008 3:04PM
i want it tomorrow as well :( not thurs, cant wait that long!! lol
The Pirate @ Nov 24th 2008 3:12PM
Just download it from The American Store
Surfaced @ Nov 24th 2008 3:35PM
I wish they'd be consistent on this demo stuff, making them available either at the same time the full game releases, or some time before. Not after.... (MGS4, I'm looking at YOU)
Jerses @ Nov 24th 2008 6:00PM
Because MGS4 is like 80% cutscenes and 20% game play.... so making a demo out of that 20% is hard.
I love dead space. buy it
gillyy0 @ Nov 24th 2008 5:37PM
This is great. Just in time to decide whether or not to buy the game at Target on Friday.
lilco @ Nov 24th 2008 6:29PM
Finally my american psn account comes to some use (woohoo) by the way if i buy some american psn games will they work in uk? also will they connect to uk servers or only us
nakedatthecomp @ Nov 24th 2008 11:25PM
the demos should work, but the server thing might be an issue... i heard stories of LBP bought in other regions not connecting to different servers. same goes for DLC
Paul from NYC @ Nov 24th 2008 6:45PM
For those who havent played this game yet, I envy thee. For those who are still deciding, why? by the time you decide to buy it, the stores will be sold out. lol
nakedatthecomp @ Nov 24th 2008 11:26PM
i've been on the fence about this one, so hopefully this demo will help that situation!
kentuckyfried @ Nov 24th 2008 11:58PM
LAME. They should've had this out before the game was released. Probably something to do with schedules though.
On the upside, better to release it now than never.
It's a great game. Between this game and Fallout 3, I've done irreparable damage to my upcoming school grades this semester, lol.
