THQ refuses to Destroy All Humans! on PS3

The PS3 version of Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon has been mysteriously canceled a week before its release. Originally scheduled for December 1st, the game will now ship exclusively on Xbox 360. According to THQ, "development issues" have been blamed for this cancellation.

Perhaps those "issues" involved forgetting to actually start development of the PS3 version. Or perhaps THQ just didn't care. Or maybe it's because THQ fired everyone that might've even worked on a PS3 version. Regardless, we doubt many of you are feeling the loss.

Yeah, I don't really care. I want to get Resistance 2 and LBP. Shouldn't the article say, "the game will now ship exclusively on Xbox 360"?

tbh, thq are a pretty rubbish dev company, to me smackdown gets worse every year, just shows if they are having problems developing this simple game, they must have some real rubbish devs

The first one wasn't that great anyways so it's no loss. It'll probably fail just as hard as BanjoKazooie Nut and Bolts did.

Yea but unlike DAH, Banjo is a good game. Just because a game doesn't sell phenominally doesn't mean it's not good...I mean look at Little Big Planet, it's a great game but it didn't even reach 1million copies sold (correct me if I'm wrong on that one). Even dead space failed in sales...it's sad...so sad

@ice: The original Banjo was great, but Nuts and Bolts just ugh, strayed too far from the original formula. I know Rare wanted to make a new game and experience, but why change something that was so great?!

No, in a 4 day period it didn't reach 1 million, that won't be till we get the november results. I'm sure it is already over 1 million worldwide by now.

Whoa...I was under the impression that Dead Space did really well in sales. I LOVE that game.

according to VGchartz though, it really didn't get alot of love:

xbox 360: 0.48 million

ps3: 0.35 million

I hope the sequels don't get nixxed as a result. -_-

In fact, how about playing Nuts & Bolts, and then go and play B-K on the Arcade.. the luster for the 2 have completely diminished.. trust me. The series is one of my favs. and B-K: N&B has more charm, humor, better gameplay and creativity than the first 2 installments combined.

Banjo-Kazooie 1 for XBLA recieved a score of 80. Does that mean it's bad? Hell no! Banjo-Kazooie: N&B will blow your mind away if you play the full version. (I built some insane things rofl).

That's fine with me, but I would be really upset if a game I wanted was cancelled a week before release. That's pretty shitty of them. Maybe they should stick to Worms. That's the only game I like from THQ.

What the Hell? I was actually looking forward to renting this later on. I enjoyed the first 2 (not the best games but fun nonetheless) the wii one I rented but it was crap.

Dissapointing but I got other games to play.

Also, 2 DAH games cancelled for Sony Platforms in this year.

pretty smart move. they probably won't have any sale on the PS3 anyway, why bother developing it. at least they could collect some $$$ from M$ for making the game exclusively on the 360. then again, I doubt if anybody would buy this game on the 360 either. so the smartest move is to NOT making the game at all. at least they don't have to waste any time nor money.

But regardless, THQ can suck it. DAH 1 was alright, but DAH 2 blew chunks.

HA! give me one reason why we should be remotley bothered about this, 360 can have it lol. Destroy All Humans is probably one of the worst games I have ever played in my lifetime! If the 360 fans have any kind of self respect they would think twice about even trying to throw this back in our face, hell I bet even they know there onto a looser with that one.

Gears 2 is boring after the first play through and the online sucks. Plus it's very overrated, it's nothing compared to these other great games out like Fallout 3. L4D is a only fun for a limited time because the gameplay isn't that good, it's the co op that adds some enjoyment to it. The rest of those games just aren't good at all so naming them off doesn't mean anything. If it wasn't for all these good multiplatform titles this year 360 owners would be very bored right now.

efeez, I realize he's trolling and that you are trying to contradict him, but seriously? Gears 2 is only good for one play through? No.. I've played through it like 3 times already. Left 4 Dead's gameplay isn't that good? Usually a person will dislike a VALVe game for 3 reasons:

1. It's not on their console of choice(360/Wii/PS3/PC)

2. They just completely suck at VALVe games.

3. Just hate VALVe in general with no reasonable reason.

C'mon dude.. At least respect a good game when you see one. That's why I'm saving up for a PS3.. I'm wanting to get a few titles like LBP, MGS4 and Warhawk.

Daww. I never really played the other DAH games and was looking forward to starting on the PS3. This is really low and ridiculous for THQ, regardless of what game. I'll get over it. There are plenty of other games to play.

Oh no! Looks like Xbox has that "killer app" they've been looking for!!!! Looks like PS3 is a failed console now... Seariously THQ is more of a sinking ship than Atari ever would have been, no? They need to get their brains together (or whats left of the ones not fired) and think of some good original titles, because they will not be getting money from a quick fix solution like Destroy all humans!.
