SaGa Frontier, the game I have wanted on the PSN store for so long... is now available in Japan, and will probably never see an American release.
Why do they torture me so.
Dr Haisook @ Nov 30th 2008 4:26PM
Because they want you to buy PSP games. The PSP audience in Japan is versatile enough to invest in both PSP and PS1 games, unlike in the US.

A weekly dose of disappointment. Mail a copy to SCEA. :(

"Please be advised that only one PSN account at a time can be activated on a PSP. It is impossible to login and access the PS Store of another region/account without deactivating the account that's currently linked with the PSP."
I've deactivated my account before and still can't get onto another region's store. Can anyone explain how to do this?

Step by step instructions for making a Japanese PSN account:

Good luck!

Thanks, but I already do have a Japanese account. However, when I try to sign in on the PSP using my Japanese account, I get the message
"You cannot sign in using another user's sign-in ID(email address)."
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my PSP is registered under my English account?
Or is there another way to do this?
By the way, I've already deactivated my English account on the PSP and this still happens.

Have you paired your PSP with your PS3? If you have an american PS3 and it's paired with your PSP maybe that might have something to do with it?
Kuraudo @ Dec 1st 2008 2:19PM
Hmm, if by this you mean through Remote Play, yes I have.
Oh well, if I can't get to the Japanese PSN store on my PSP, at least I can get to it through Media Manager. :)

Damn them.

Man, they just better not get FF 7 or Metal Gear Sold....or I'm gonna have to start learning Japanes.
mr.electic @ Nov 30th 2008 6:43PM
dude, you might want to start learning Japanese. Japan already got Metal Gear Solid up for grabs. :) they are so lucky!
Dr Haisook @ Nov 30th 2008 7:02PM
I've started to learn Japanese (the hiragana and katakana alphabets; btw each is around 48 basic symbols + many more extra!), and it's one hell of a language! Not to mention that there's the Kanji alphabet which contains 1000+ symbols. You won't be able to learn the latter anytime soon I guess. But at least now I know which is hiragana and which is katakana, and I can write my name in katakana. Kanji is very distinguishable from its look, but very difficult to learn.
After learning the alphabets, at least the first two (known collectively as kana), you need to learn sentence structure and some vocabulary. It will take time, but it's very interesting.

I loved SaGa Frontier so much. But my friend and I in middle school swapped games, and he used my copy of SaGa Frontier as a drink coaster. At least I got to keep his copy of Ocarina of Time. Ha ha!
I actually bought Unlimited SaGa based on my love of SaGa Frontier. Big mistake. That game was just awful.
