PS3 version of Resident Evil 5 to include exclusive documentary

While the bonus material is currently secured for the Japanese RE5 release, there's still no word whether it will be seen in Western releases. Considering that the PS3 version's content is on the game disc itself and is supposedly made from Hollywood, we're thinking there is a good chance Capcom will include it for North American and European releases.

All PS3 games should take advantage of what the Blu Ray offers whether it be documentaries such as this, or extra content.
Why devs don't take advantage of this is rather foolish.

Because multiplatform content is judged mostly by the smallest medium, in this case 360s DVDs. Of course capcom would be able to make even gaming experience longer on PS3, but it is not good PR for MS and capcom should try to friends be with MS. The most important reason is that they do not have to make ps3 version any longer, people will pay 60 units anyways.
I do not care about documentaries :) Put the DLC on disc with PS3 version.

Also every game should do what God of War 2 did and include collector's edition content with EVERY copy for the normal price. (That was a sweet deal actually...gotta play that game again to prep for GoW3!)

As a PS3 owner, I could care less about the 360 and it's DVD format. I have a machine that has a Blu-Ray drive. I would like my media to take advantage of it, and not be limited due to another companies short sightedness in what format or drive they used.
There is no excuse on why companies cannot add "extras" to the PS3 editions. If M$ or the Bots start to cause problems, offer it as a digital download for the 360's HD over Live.
The PS3 has the technology, now use it!!

I'm glad we're getting exclusive content.
Unfortunately in this case, it'll end up on youtube in a heartbeat. I want some exclusive in-game content that can't be found anywhere else, like bonus stages or whatnot. Extra characters. A special Hunk stage. Mercenaries extreme game. Whatever.
Sony needs to negotiate something.

Also you will have to pay in the 360 version to co-op. My 360 friends wont be buying this game because they are all madden and halo players...dont play anything else (sports game and fps).

I think you are confused, you don't have to pay to co-op in RE5.. You pay to use the Xbox Live service, and with that comes online mutiplayer and other features, but local/split screen co-op in the actual game itself is free.

You can also lan with 2 360s 2 copies of a game and 2 TVs. That's what I do with my brother and we plan to play RE5 like this.
It's like poor man's Internet, but it's funner IMO.

So you can only listen to it while browsing the system menus and a select few games that offer in game soundtracks? Just throw in a cd so you can rip it to your computer, ipod and PS3 with ease.

I'm kind of sick of Microsoft incapacitating any benefits of having the blu-ray format for multi-plat games. A notable example is the ending to Bioshock. The re-release on the ps3 has no excuses not to have a more fully realized conclusion.
My suspicions are that they were that short to begin with b/c of the DVD-9 format, but I'm just speculating.

Who really cares about documentaries? I have never watched one that i have purchased with a game.
If it came out 1 or 2 weeks early so i could download it i probably would check it out
My guess is that it will come one 2 version standard and special edition that will have the documentary.
On the 360 i bet it will come with it on a new disc.

How is getting one documentary count as "the" exclusive content? It's "some" exclusive content as in: the 360 is getting "some" content with the soundtrack and the PS3 is getting "some" content with the documentary. Who's getting mad? We're all friends here!

Capcom always include staff like this just like Devil May Cry 4 a special making of DVD.
So no suprise that RE5 is adding this.
