God of War III to make appearance at Spike VGAs

Oh really, Spike TV? You're really going out of your way to make sure we watch your Video Game Awards show this year. Not only are you debuting Uncharted 2, but you're also going to be giving us a look at God of War III? Really? The Gametrailers.com promo page for the VGAs lists Naughty Dog's upcoming sequel, Brutal Legend and the hotly anticipated GoW III. We can't wait.December 14th. 9PM. Mark it on your calendars.

go play go play! if your ps3 doesn't have bc, then play it on a ps2! if you don't have one buy or borrow one! get gow 1 and 2 and whatever good things you missed! go to metacritic for a good idea! rent if you must! just play!

neither have I. i got into the last gen of consoles late and only on the xbox. i played some ps2 at friends houses but never had my own. cant wait to play GoW3 (the real GoW btw... GJ epic onthat one).
as for the VGAs... i could care less. gametrailers.com will have the trailers up immediately after for me to watch at my convenience.

I never got into God Of War last generation either... It just didn't look appealing. I was so wrong!

Well, I totally got into God of War when I first saw it and I've played parts I and II so I'm really excited about part III coming soon. It kind of sucks the original creator of GOW has left the IP to do some other game (chances are it won't top GOW) and I hope this doesn't affect the coming sequel (though I doubt it will).
As far as the VGAs, I don't watch award shows for anything, video games, movies, music, whatever, more so because I can't stand pop culture and would rather not pay homage to the egos of many overpayed individuals. I saw a few minutes of the VGAs last year and it looked like nothing more than an excuse for celebs to come out and 'act' like they're so into video gaming. I think it was rather repugnant and detestable...but that's just me. =0)

agree! also every celeb was like "hey watch my movie" totally out of place. And non of them talked about games, they where just there standing :S sad
I hope they announce open HOME beta for everyone! :P they better not release it past december 20 because i will be playing games and will not have time for virtual me

Once you establish an IP, and a mythology with it, you can remake it without the same guy at the helm just fine as long as the designers stick together.

First Uncharted 2, now God of War III, why don't they just announce the price cut now instead of slowly and implicitly confirming the reduction in March '09?

I'm so psyched for GoW 3! It's my most anticipated game ever! Seriously, this game better be good!
I did notice something odd though...
The description of Brutal Legend is:
She involuntarily absorbs the memories, physical strength and, in the case of super-powered persons, abilities of anyone she touches.
When did they change the story of my second most anticipated game ever? This is probably a mix-up but still kinda funny, or disturbing.

Hah! That's a description of Rogue from X-men. It's obviously a slipup. Maybe they're previewing an X-men game as well, as a surprise.
I've just checked the website. They've fixed up the description. Tim Schafer's new masterpiece is back on track. He's easily my favourite game designer. Ever.

Well for all those who never played a God of War game you're definately missing out. I must saw though my most favorite level in the the two that I've played would actually have to be in the first game where you're just getting the hang of the game and you have to fight to hydra. The God of War games bring a nice twist to ancient Greek tales.
