Astro Tripper shoots up PSN on Dec. 11

A price for the title has yet to be determined, though those of you interested in learning more about the title can check out the official website. A US release date is promised to follow.

It's a great game. Well, at least the original Space Tripper is. I bought it for Linux back in 2002 or so, and it was awesome.This isn't a side-scrolling shmup like R-Type or something. It's different than anything else I've played, since you can flip directions left or right, and you're on a platform the whole time. Maybe the closest it's to is Defender, or something like that, but you don't pick people up off the ground in Astro/Space Tripper (from what I remember - haven't played this in a while).I'm buying when it hits North America. PomPom is like 2 guys. And they make good games. I wish we had Mutant Storm on PSN, too.

I'm trying very hard to get into shmups, so as long as it is fairly decent, I will be picking this one up.

I'll be getting this as soon as it get released in NA. The PS3 has next to nothing in terms of games like these. So keep em coming and I'll be buying.
Now to wait paitently for Soldner X to come out - tomorrow right?

Wow. I saw that screenshot and immediately said: "They're remaking Life Force/Salamander?!" Soldner-X tomorrow and THIS in a week. It's Shmup-Fest 2008 in the Haohmaru household.
