I wonder, will that LittleBigPlanet Design Competition Winner costume work on my North American copy? That would be amazing, but I doubt it.

Probably not, most DLC is region locked.

Just so you know though, for future reference, if you have an American or European copy of LittleBigPlanet, you cannot download any add-ons from any Asian store and have them work.
Though PS3 games are region-free, DLC needs to be from the same region as the game you're getting. So you can buy the disc for LBP from any region, but you can only download DLC for that game from the region the disc originates.

Yes, confirmed. I made that mistake the first time LBP DLC was released and bought from the wrong region. Wasted $2 (OMG!!!11oneoenne)
