LittleBigPlanet 1.07 patch adds store, better search functionality

The update adds a new section to the LittleBigPlanet section of the game: the LittleBigStore. Here you can see all the costumes and packs that are currently for sale and purchase them. Bought a costume and don't want to search through your Popit menu for it? Simply select it in the in-game store and you'll automagically put it on. Pretty handy. Selecting a pack will "award" you with the items, just like at the end of a tutorial level, so you can see exactly what it contains.
The second big addition in version 1.07 is a revamp of the level search screen. You can now view the highest rated levels, the most hearted levels, the newest levels and the busiest levels. You can also search for levels via a text string, or via tags. Hopefully this will make finding awesome levels a lot easier.

good. I'm glad they are working on the search. There are alot of times I'd put in the full name of a level and i would get like 100 levels and not see the one I put the name into. I'd have to flip thru all the pages and hope I find it. If i put in the name of a level or its creator i should only get that level in the search.

Better level searches/menus/everything was desperately needed, as well as better Popit organization. Also, it's been a little while since I last played, but any updates on the scores on My Moon? You know, the Play, Create, and Share scores? I remember that, briefly, on one of the first few days of its release, there were numbers and colors, and ever since and even before then, just black circles with zeros. They need to either fix it or remove it, because it just looks bad to constantly have zeros, especially if you already have a gold trophy.

Yea, nice. Whatever. Where's the ability to go online and create levels with friends over the internet? The whole game loses a lot by not being able to do that.
Seriously, Media Molecule, make that a top priority.

chill bro.. one thing at a time.. like the article says, they don't stop announcing stuff for this game, shouldn't that give you hopes that they're working on it? you should be grateful for what they've done/changed/fixed/added, don't expect them to do things, it's better that way..

i think the level creation online was supposed to be there since release date. There is even a trophie you cant make because of that.
Ok, so they half fixed the search. before the "fix" every level from the first page was high ranked, hearted a lot and tagged like million times..so there is no way you can see the levels with poor score because of the levels layout. Now you cant order those same levels and still cant see the levels with low score, low hearts, etc.
They added the store inside the game...please MM stop waisting youre time and bring things that are missing since released.

TuxBobble: I dunno if you've tried co-op editing multiplayer locally, but it's a bit tricky even when you're both playing sat next to each other.
I'm not sure I really think online editing'd be too easy either to be honest. I think they're better prioritising other things for the meantime.
Jerses: You can get that trophy making a level locally if you have a few extra controllers knocking about.

And just to throw another voice into this, Mm said shortly before the game's release that 4-player online co-op create mode would not ship with the game as planned, but would be patched in later.

I'm not saying it's not a great game. But I'm not happy with free little costumes that don't really ADD anything to the gameplay, when some of the KEY features are still missing/lacking. For example, Play/Create/Share levels are there, but completely broken/non-functional.
The online creation WILL be tricky, BUT the ability to collaborate and work TOGETHER is what makes half of the fun of this game, whether it be in an already made level, or creating a new one. Having another person to brainstorm with, even if only one of you is actively creating, is a nice feature to have, and I think it's one of the more valuable features the game can have.
Don't knock me because I expect things. I expect to be satisfied with something I paid $60 for; I expect the features that really should have been included from the start. (I know they announced online creation wouldn't be, but that was extremely disappointing to me) I'm not annoyed with LBP, it just has lost a lot of its charm due to a decreased ability to create together, in my opinion.
Key features are more important than Street Fighter costumes, in my opinion. That's all I'm saying. The search needed a fix so I'm glad about that. But some features are just much less necessary, and other things should be prioritized... (I haven't heard any news about online creation from MM since around launch, have you?)

You can also save levels differently.
There is now a "Save as..." feature which lets you select where in the moon you want to save it, Quite handy If your looking to overwrite levels.

Hopefully with a decent dynamic search feature, all the lame trophy levels that get shoved in our faces will start to fade to the background.
Any of you who not only makes, but specifically PUBLISHES trophy whore levels should be shot and/or pissed on.

That trophy you can't get without online creation mode? Wrong. Simply go into create mode, fire up a second controller, wait for another sackboy to appear, then save the level. TROPHY IS YOURS!

I was wondering this myself. It'd be nice to do a right-click with the mouse to bring up the popit and use the mouse wheel to scroll through menus.
If any game cries out for a mouse it's this one.

I (just) made a level, but after the update i can't color the score bubbles anymore, and every colored bubble i already made is now colorless..
the rest of the update is pretty need!
