Buzz! 'Underwater Life' question pack arrives tomorrow
Okay, we got it wrong. We knew there was some amazing downloadable content arriving tomorrow, but we mistakenly thought it was that (now mediocre seeming) Metal Gear Solid LittleBigPlanet stuff. It's only now we realize that the true megaton of tomorrow's pre-Christmas PSN update is the new Buzz! Quiz TV question pack. The National Geographic: Undersea pack adds 500 questions based solely on underwater wildlife and the oceans of the world. At the moment it's only confirmed for release on the US store.Perfect for the holidays, right? What's more festive than fish?

"(now mediocre seeming) Metal Gear Solid LittleBigPlanet stuff"
You'd best hope to god I am reading this incorrectly.
Packfan @ Dec 22nd 2008 8:50PM
Not everyone is a total MGS fanboy. I got bored with the game and haven't touched it since playing it for 3 hours. If I wanted to watch a movie, I'd buy a Blu-Ray
PR0FT3A de V1DA @ Dec 22nd 2008 10:20PM
ZOMG I C WHA U DID THER... you called MGS4 a movie because of the marvelous interactive real time cut-scenes
i guess Kojimas Metal Gear Solid: Touch teaser joke really got you xbox fanboys so upset and sentimental.
Its ok though, because at the end of the day PS3 owners got to play Metal Gear Solid 4.

It's sarcasm, don't worry :I
H2Os @ Dec 22nd 2008 8:43PM
Soul that would be sarcasm
j.howlett @ Dec 22nd 2008 8:51PM
on the internet?
Lungkisser @ Dec 22nd 2008 9:00PM
I don't know what was funnier, the fact that he didn't get the sarcasm or the fact that the person replying to him also didn't get the sarcasm.
Talk about the blind leading the blind...
Either way, lookin' forward to the LBP DLC!
David @ Dec 22nd 2008 10:05PM
I think both together make a perfect joke. Instead of one being funnier than the other they both complement each other. What I don't get is the hate towards Buzz by the blogger...I haven't played the game but I see no reason to be making fun of it...from what I hear it's a fairly competent family oriented game. I'm sure there are some people who are actually excited for the new trivia questions. Not my style but you know, to each his own.
Windmill @ Dec 22nd 2008 10:57PM
I am thinking thinking Soul got the sarcasim, but Packfan didn't.

Buzz is one of the most underrated PS3 games of the year, and MANY have been wanting new quiz packs for a while. This IS awesome news indeed.
CEEarl @ Dec 23rd 2008 2:44AM
Buzz is a lot of fun. Just got it yesterday. Me and the wife have played it three times already. With the additional question packs it helps to keep the game fresh. Another great thing I was pleasantly surprised by was that you can go to the website and link your own made-up question packs to the game, so for example you can go and make up 8 questions to add on to whatever genre you want. We did a second horror pack, which immediately allows others to play online. Nice! If anyone has the game feel free to add us to your friends list so we can play online. The online people was a little scarce today. That's my only complaint. Screamwriter: screen name. Thanks!

Awesome, too bad they are overpriced, but eventually will be worth the money to extend the game play on this amazing game.
AcidReaper @ Dec 23rd 2008 1:17AM
Jem Is That Sarcasm, because i dont know.Hmm maybe its a joke.
bluefrog @ Dec 23rd 2008 1:20AM
Jem, maybe you could cut out the sarcasm and stick to delivering the news. Sometimes I get the idea that you really hate the PS3 because of all the negative, unneeded, comments you add to your postings. I'm not asking for everything to be "rah, rah, raaaaaah," but you don't need to piss on stuff you're not excited about.
Windmill @ Dec 23rd 2008 1:55AM
I like the sarcasim, and think its blinkin obvious it is sarcasim.
ShmenonPie @ Dec 23rd 2008 5:57AM
I love fish. If it were coming out on the European store, I'd get it.
Dan Rabot @ Dec 23rd 2008 6:25AM
I traded in Buzz, I did love it and DL'd a couple of question packs but I did get bored and got a decent trade in price with the buzzers. - left the batteries in them though, should have kept those.
Certainly a fun family game though, perfect for a family Christmas!
bvhj @ Dec 23rd 2008 8:08AM
I got Buzz for my brother's birthday today... Are these question packs free, there's no mention of the price on this article or the source, but one of the comments say they're over-priced, what did the older question packs sell at?
John S @ Dec 23rd 2008 12:04PM
Normally, they are $5.99.
However, since these are "National Geographic" Quiz Packs, they are considered premium. They will cost $7.99.
bvhj @ Dec 23rd 2008 7:23PM
Thanks for the reply, John...
I checked the PSN Store earlier and the quiz packs are incredibly expensive =/
I guess I won't be getting any quiz packs unless they're free, I'm not really prepared to pay so much for something so trivial, if you'll excuse the pun...
Jonathan @ Dec 23rd 2008 8:53AM
Oh no, the author of the article was sarcastic when talking about Buzz! Waaah, I'm going to my bathroom to cry now.
Tru-blu @ Dec 23rd 2008 9:27AM
Nice. I've downloaded the previous question packs and I'll probably download this one today or tomorrow. I like Buzz! and SingStar. Perfect games for gatherings. And it gets people from going to other people's houses that have a Wii.
