There's no better way to prove you're a
Killzone 2 fanboy than to don a
Killzone costume in PlayStation Home.
amazon.com is offering a unique promo for those that pre-order the upcoming FPS on their site. According to the online retailer, players will receive "costume pieces for your head, torso, legs, hands and feet; you can customize your Home avatar to look like an ISA Soldier, a Helghast Assault Trooper, or something in between." This offer is currently an exclusive to the retailer, so you may want to take advantage of this rather unique deal. The patient types, however, will wait and see what other shops are offering for pre-ordering the game.

Hmmmmmm
never pre-ordered a game on Amazon........
I know with Movies/Blu-ray it doesnt charge your card until the Friday before it is sent out.........
I wonder if it does that with Games.......
its tempting but I'm curious what other people will have......
MakaiOokami @ Dec 28th 2008 7:38PM
I hear ya. No point in risking being out 60 something dollars until you're certain. The game isn't even coming out for a while anyway.
Plus the outfit probably isn't availible just yet anyway.
NightHawk @ Dec 28th 2008 8:34PM
don't worry it doesn't charge you until the day that the game is shipped, i had pre-ordered Persona 4 back in october and wasnt charge until dec 8(i checked my statement online) Amazon is grade A imo
NightHawk @ Dec 28th 2008 8:35PM
forget to add that i was charged the day before also because my game got sent out early:)
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread - XBL: SoCoolCurt) @ Dec 30th 2008 1:19PM
i've never pre-ordered from Amazon either. dont they do that thing now so that the game will show up on release day? im really impatient lol. dont know if i could wait a couple more days for it to ship.
either way, we still have like 2 months before the game drops so ill check out what everyone else is offering as preorder deals as well before i make a decision.
RPMd70 @ Dec 30th 2008 2:24PM
@SoCoolCurt
amazon ships it out so it get to your house the day of release... sweet, no?
TinyTim121 @ Dec 28th 2008 8:00PM
Not bad. Not bad at all. I'm tempted. But i'll probs see if there is a similar deal for UK first.
Familyguyrokz @ Dec 28th 2008 8:01PM
Home's horrible presentation has KILLED the coolness factor of the Hellghast. What will Home destroy next?
TinyTim121 @ Dec 29th 2008 10:11AM
Hopefully boredom.
As soon as Home gets packed with more stuff to do (Crazy golf, Pin ball, 25 lanes in a bowling alley, Game launching, Go-Karting and a ton of other crap i can't think up off the top of my head) then yeah, Home should destroy boredem.
Stubs24 @ Dec 29th 2008 10:40AM
hopefully irrelevant comments like this one
un4gvn94538 @ Dec 28th 2008 8:08PM
its policy that they dont charge on preorders til the start shipping.
so what if we dont preorder? will sony eventually charge 10 bucks for the outfits?
pjak @ Dec 28th 2008 8:14PM
Codes to access your bonus costumes will be sent no more than ten days after the game releases.
Surfaced @ Dec 28th 2008 8:27PM
I'm not pre-ordering anything until the Limited Edition and its contents are announced.
Syn @ Dec 28th 2008 8:48PM
After playing the beta for KZ2... I doubt I'll be picking it up.
And seeing how I rarely use HOME, I won't miss my Helghast clothing options.
Surfaced @ Dec 28th 2008 8:53PM
You played the Kz2 beta and you didn't like it? What was bad dude? This is the first instance I've heard of someone dissatisfied with it.
chase167 @ Dec 29th 2008 12:07AM
he doesn't even have a ps3
he a 360 fangirl trolling
Syn @ Dec 29th 2008 2:30AM
Yes, as you can see in my previous posts. I love my invisible RROD 360.
KZ2 is too dark. Collisions are annoying, as you will constantly get pushed around by teammates if you are trying to aim/snipe. Or simply pushed out of cover.
What I did enjoy about it was how your objectives would change win or lose, it kept games interesting.
I hated CoD4, but loved CoD5(WaW).
Dehshizknight @ Dec 28th 2008 8:58PM
Well, according to the guys at PSNation (whom I trust wholeheartedly), they've had experiences in which a person who's preordered a game got it days AFTER a person who simply ordered the game from amazon.
I'm definitely gonna sit this one out but I'm gonna try to bribe someone to give me the goods ;).
Voshempa @ Dec 28th 2008 9:47PM
SolomonGrundy. I applaud you.
Shadow_Modder @ Dec 28th 2008 10:07PM
I just received an email from the PlayStation Network saying that if you pre-order at Best Buy you get an exclusive PS3 theme free.
Check it here

Khaled @ Dec 28th 2008 10:24PM
Yeah I saw that this morning. That deal and the Amazon deal isn't worth it. Having not played the beta, I won't risk it, or at least until I see a great deal.
Kspraydad @ Dec 28th 2008 10:09PM
Free speech means you can start your own social network/gaming system...not that you can run roughshod over another company's creation.
ltefoe @ Dec 28th 2008 10:28PM
I pre order my copy of killzone 2 when it first came available on amazon. Cant wait to use the Helghast assault trooper costume.
DrunkRaba @ Dec 28th 2008 10:59PM
I am quite happy that I don't have to listen to every asshat that runs by while i'm on there.
denty @ Dec 28th 2008 11:03PM
FIRST! now onto the real point. im not gonna go and rant about playstation chargin for home stuff but surely amazon is gonna make us pay the full $60 for this whearas target or somewhere else will probably have it cheaper and therefore better. i dont go on ome nealy enough to make these costumes worthwhile.
VicViper09 @ Dec 29th 2008 12:44AM
Ur not first...
Amazon's preorder for Killzone 2 with the Super Saving Shipping is only $56.99....
Bite ur tongue next time.

I like all the free glitches sony has so kindly provided... see the pictures for examples.
maxpontiac @ Dec 29th 2008 4:12PM
This type of character customization needs to be linked to a Platinum for each game you have done.
Not on some pre-order bonus.
Mo @ Dec 29th 2008 4:29PM
I second that brilliant idea
GGCAN @ Dec 29th 2008 4:52PM
Well....looks like it's only the US that can purchase this and get the freebee suit for Home.
I just checked their shipping policy and it only states the US; checked Amazon.ca for Canadians and don't see the outfit offer for Home.
Just in case any other Canadians or another country was wondering if this is offered outside the US.
nakedatthecomp @ Dec 29th 2008 5:38PM
I was... damn. I wonder what bonus deal EB Games will have...
Arnon @ Dec 29th 2008 5:09PM
That's pretty smart of Sony to incorporate clothing and costumes and whatnot from their major titles.. though, I still think they look like zombies even with those costumes on =(
skin.bintin @ Dec 29th 2008 8:16PM
What if you think Home is a complete waste of time? If that's the case, this is pointless.
jarhead906 @ Jan 3rd 2009 12:35AM
For every event that occurs in the gaming world there are many people that favor something while at the same time there exists a minority that dislike the same thing.
So I guess you're right. PS3Fanboy should just stop publishing news articles. Actually, everything in the world short of Hoola Hoops (come on, everyone likes Hoola Hoops) should be destroyed because there's always someone who doesn't have an interest in it.
skin.bintin @ Jan 3rd 2009 6:47PM
jarhead, you couldn't possibly have missed the point any more than you have. I wasn't saying PS3Fanboys article was pointless, or Sony offering this was pointless. I'm just saying, if your not a Home fan then this pre-order bonus becomes rather pointless.
Catch my drift? :P
HardBoiled2009 @ Dec 29th 2008 8:46PM
it may just be me but i wouldn't wanna buy anything from Amazon... i shopped Ebay till a guy with a good score Gipped me $15 .. so i got my money back and haven't ebayed since .. only cause it was paypal.. but nah sorry don't want to .. i'l stick with EB/Gamestop
