Import Deal: Siren on Blu-ray for $25
Have you tried Siren: Blood Curse? The survival horror game is a PlayStation Network title here in the States, but over in Asia, it can be found on Blu-ray. You can download the series for $40 here, or you can buy an import copy of the Blu-ray for only $25 (plus shipping). Now, you may be saying "I don't speak Japanese!" No worries. The Asian version of the game includes English voice acting and subtitles. Intrigued?

ack! too scary!
Phizzy @ Jan 6th 2009 8:53PM
I bet the shipping will be another $25 at least for Europe...
Phizzy @ Jan 6th 2009 8:54PM
Oh wait, sorry, I forgot they're afraid to export anything branded/published by Sony to the EU.
Popfrogs @ Jan 7th 2009 12:20AM
Yeah, lawsuits can do that to ya.
Almo @ Jan 7th 2009 9:08AM
Europe, at least UK, already have a Blu-Ray disc version, have a look at Amazon UK:-

i am intrigued. i put off buying this title because of the file size
gyllym @ Jan 7th 2009 12:36AM
I bought Siren a while back and I really enjoyed it. The only things I didn't like was that you have to download AND install each chapter individualy. Other than that the game is badass. The gameplay is solid and gets really tense/scary and the story is a mindfuck.
Highly reccomend the blu-ray version

Damn, I'm being tight with my money because of the damn holidays. Is this just a special deal or is it permanent?
ChocoDK @ Jan 6th 2009 9:55PM
Its on sale right now but it doesn't say for how long. I know how you feel about being strapped on money. After Christmas there is so many darn sales with good deals. I wish though that SIREN came out in NA on Blu-ray but this is still a good deal.

this game is a grate game for those of you who havet played it . there is a demo on the network if your still on the fence . the only bad thing i found with this game is the contorles
they are pretty wonky at times can be a bit frustrating but once you get use to them the game is very enjoyabile and for $25 plus a bit of shipping the game is worth the price
burgabunz @ Jan 6th 2009 11:27PM
it sure is grate.
Popfrogs @ Jan 7th 2009 12:21AM
That's one thing I gotta have right in a game: the contorles.
Josh @ Jan 7th 2009 12:28AM
Oh yeah, you're right.
Wonder why I never knew about it before... Well, downloading now, anyway.
Thanks.
Juthan @ Jan 7th 2009 1:51PM
Well, so long as it is enjoyabile, I might pick it up.
ramuji @ Jan 7th 2009 6:39PM
Hope I can get use to them.
yomama07024 @ Jan 6th 2009 10:51PM
How much is shipping to the US anyway?
Sorry for being too lazy to check myself.
Paul from NYC @ Jan 6th 2009 11:23PM
Bought this game from playasia on launch week. Graphics and gameplay were great. playing with 2 screens at once can be a bit tricky and you do need to get used to the controls at first. Sight jacking made me feel I was actually in the game. I did get stuck on a few levels and grew frustrated but managed. I must admit , I did not want to play this game at times because it was too tense filled and downright scary. Definetly better than Condemned 2 and I liked C2 alot.
Bruno @ Jan 6th 2009 11:27PM
Just checked, it's 3.40$ (or something like this) ot ship to Canada, must be similar for US...
RazLeBoL @ Jan 7th 2009 6:33AM
You will have to pay customs if you buy from play-asia. I was charged 12$ of customs when I ordered the MGS collection last year.
Michael K. @ Jan 7th 2009 12:34AM
Hmmm... I might actually do this. Does anyone know if the menus can be in english?
Rogern @ Jan 7th 2009 1:13AM
What's wrong with the £17.99 at play.com deal? free shipping and all.... just asking...
perestroika @ Jan 7th 2009 1:29AM
can one set the menus and such in english too? just wondering. if one can, i might just finally get it :)
been planning to get this one from the psn store, but i wanted to get a new HD first. but i should have bought it on halloween last year when it was $29.99USD! :'(

Does anybody offhand know how much hd space this thing occupies?
I picked it up already but I would've preferred a blu-ray copy instead (like this one).
kentuckyfried @ Jan 7th 2009 3:20AM
Nevermind, I'm grabbing it. The shipping is indeed $3.40 for the cheapest U.S. option.
Kevin @ Jan 7th 2009 6:03AM
Well considering this game is the same price in the UK, I see this as not much of a deal.
Gameplay, Shopto.net, Amazon, HMV and Play ALL having this for £18 with free P&P...
1664 @ Jan 7th 2009 10:30AM
ya our little independant games shop in my town (uk) has the blueray version, not sure if its import or got released here but its in there for £20
