Yakuza 3-themed PS3 looks stylish

A brand new PS3 bundle will go on sale in Japan, featuring the upcoming PS3-exclusive Yakuza 3. Available in late February, the bundle will include the game and a specially designed Ceramic White console (pictured, above). Only 10,000 units of this bundle will be made, so expect it to sell out quickly in Japan. Will any find their way on eBay? Perhaps.

Probably because that side of the world is both technology hungry and because that side of the world is selling PS3's like crazy, where as it isn't on the other side.

But yeah, Japan gets all the good toys lol

But it's always been that way since the dawn of video games and North America, I believe, actually does sell quite a bit more actually. Just playing favorites with the home town crowd I guess.

A cool paintjob like that would really help sales around the world, not just in Japan. I don't understand why SCE is so reluctant to change paintjobs yet they change the insides constantly. I'm sure they are saving money by just manufacturing the standard black PS3 cases, but they are missing marketshare. Honestly, of those 10 000 sold most are going to go to hardcore gamers who already have a PS3.

On a similar note, why don't they do the same kind of promotion with PS3 as they did with Vaio computers? They allowed people to send in designs which could be used for future Vaio cases.

For games it usually is, for blu-rays JPN, USA/CA, and HK (Hong Kong) all share the same region. DVDs, however, will still be locked to JPN's Region 2, tho.

...or check Yesasia.com out (Play-asia.com may get it too, yet they don't have a listing up for it right now). Last I looked (when checking the price on the game) they had the listing up for the bundle--though no pic of it was up at the time--and I believe the price. Can't remember if they were starting to do pre-orders for, but I think you can (or will be).

I just bought MGS4 Kojima bundle from ebay, around $450.. Yakuza bundle, and there is Resident Evil 5 bundle..., man, i can't keep up with all that.. lol

Damn...that's the second Ryu ga Gotoku (Yakuza) series bundle that's got rubbed in my face...:(.Last year it was Kenzan Satin silver bundle--mind you after I had already purchased my ceramic white the Xmas before (Dec 07) and the game was on my pre-order to do list--now this one....just when I thought I had got over the stinging pain of not getting a satin silver, now I have to deal with not having a dragon etched white cermanic....thanks Sony JPN (....but I'm still pre-order that Ryu ga Gotoku 3, LOL). ...but I still my (albeit nakked, lol) cermanic white 'baby' tho'. :)
