Square Enix to publish Disgaea 3 in Europe

John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Ltd. comments, "With Disgaea 3, Nippon Ichi have created a wonderful world full of bizarre characters and deep, addictive gameplay. I hope everyone enjoys playing this unique and rewarding title."

PS3 is, but the PS2 is not, ergo you cannot play NTSC PS2/PS1 games on a PAL system and vice versa.

I know that. Disgaea 3 is a PS3 game .. so why bother mentioning that PS2 and PS1 games are region-locked? ._.

Even though there is some serious level grinding to be done in this game, it is highly addictive. i typically am not a fan of srpg/jrpg but this game is great. the over-the-top action is rewarding and the script is pretty funny. Also as a bonus (at least for me) the voice of Mao is the voice of Edward Elric from the English dub of Full Metal Alchemist (one of my fave anime)

Euhm, Disgaea 3 was released in November here in Belgium. (last time I checked it was €40 in Mediamarkt) So I'm a bit confused now ...

maybe that was the american version of the game. I've seen that here in Portugal as well.
Anyway us Europeans are getting 2 RPGs in 2 weeks - this Feb 20th and Eternal Sonata Feb 29th. AMAZING.

Why do publishers always insist on releasing things all on the same day?

How annoying is it to find games like these being scored low for graphics, even though its all about the gameplay, while wii games get a free pass for jaggy 480p stuff?

The graphics in this are especially bad though, they look like 16-bit sprites. Only echo chrome has worse graphics than this on ps3
