Ves @ Jan 8th 2009 1:33PM
Many of us wish it, and fast.
Kyrre @ Jan 8th 2009 1:36PM
Yes.
-.- @ Jan 8th 2009 1:45PM
It's too bad all of this doesnt count for us in EU, why even bother
*Cry* T.T
The Collective @ Jan 8th 2009 1:30PM
Here's hoping that Fairly OddParents will soon be on the store :D
PSN: John-Paul-Jones @ Jan 8th 2009 1:58PM
Yes! And who doesn't want SpongeBob SquarePants on their PS3? Aye, aye captain!
...
OH, DAMN! I forgot that the video store doesn't apply to us Canadians! :(
Devin @ Jan 8th 2009 2:00PM
SpongeBob FTW!
Barry32171 @ Jan 8th 2009 1:41PM
Well, I wish I could get Trailer Park Boys off of the PSN... Sorry a bit off-topic, but would be nice.
Louis @ Jan 8th 2009 1:54PM
You Europeans should stop bitching since y'all already have PlayTV...
1664 @ Jan 8th 2009 2:29PM
All play tv is though is the ability to watch\record "normal" tv via the playstation ... "normal" tv in england sux , no good films or nout , just bare crappy soaps and adverts, cant really compare it too a video store that one doesnt need to leave the house to use lol
PrinceAshitaka @ Jan 8th 2009 2:55PM
Rofl, that's completely different. There are tv shows there in the US that we Europeans can't access even with PlayTV.
So YOU stop bitching about us wanting a films store. We have legitimate reasons for it.
PrinceAshitaka @ Jan 8th 2009 2:56PM
Omg, those two things have nothing in common. PlayTV only records what you can ALREADY watch on television. A video store provides users with new content that you could only get (illegally) off the internet.
So YOU stop bitching about us EU users who want the same content you Americans have.
Minsc @ Jan 8th 2009 9:41PM
PlayTV works only via antenna. Thats complete useless.
We need a cable input thesedays!
ryuk @ Jan 8th 2009 1:50PM
YES!! south park
GGCAN @ Jan 8th 2009 2:14PM
I just hope there isn't too much of a delay for getting this into other countries other than the US.
However, it does sound like a very good service and I'm sure I would use it if it becomes available in my country.
Topher08 @ Jan 8th 2009 2:15PM
It's the Canadian government that prevents these services from showing up. Its the CRTC which holds this up in red tape and of course the CRTC is deeply entrenched the pockets of both Rogers and Bell. Rogers and Bell do not want people to get television through any other means then subscribing through Roger's or Bell's services. This is why the Apple iTunes store was so slow to get a video service for Canadians (and then its flooded with mostely made in Canada junk anyways), and why it will be years before we see anything appear on the PSN for Canadians.
What is unust about about this is that its movies are also available on the PSN too, and of course Rogers also rents movies on cable and in retail stores. But you can buy and rent movies from other places not monopilized by Rogers and yet online rental and sales of movies are blocked by Rogers' CRTC lapdogs.
I want Sony to flip the switch and enable the PSN store to sell and rent movies and shows to Canadians, and then deal with the CRTC in INTERNATIONAL trade court. I am sure any SANE court of law will find that CRTC blocking online movie and TV services is anti-competitive and monopolistic and we can end the CRTC blockade of "innovation" in Canada.
Sony, grow a pair and flip the switch.

Friggin Rogers! I'd love to be able to have the full selection of the American Store. I would definitely use it.
I'm also deeply frustrated by no Netflix streaming on the Xbox360.
Come on Canada, friggin pathetic at times.
john paul @ Jan 8th 2009 3:04PM
*insert generic "you have free healthcare, we get netflix/video downloads" joke here*
chris @ Jan 8th 2009 6:07PM

ZIMALABIM @ Jan 8th 2009 2:35PM

Jack Tretton @ Jan 8th 2009 4:45PM
"We're thrilled to add content from MTV Networks to our line up, it's a perfect fit for the PlayStation demographic..."
You got that right.
michael @ Jan 8th 2009 7:08PM
All right, the store is making great progresses.
Spike TV: Manswers, and Unsolved Mysteries FTW
Comedy Central: Yes, bring South Park on PSN.
Nice to see MTV on there. That means a lot of shows for our nice audiences out there with PS3. Here's another improvement needed:
CBS: need CSI series, and Criminal Minds
NBC: Law & Orders series
I want House, MD on PSN.
More anime (Xbox Live got more then we do)
get Bandai (Need Gundam series, and Cowboy Bebop), ADV (Evangelion), Viz (Deathnote, Bleach), and Media Blasters (Variety of other anime). I would love to see a major improvements for the anime part.
