Sony products invading new Yankee Stadium
Whilst on stage at CES, Sony CEO Howard Stringer announced a partnership with the new Yankee Stadium that will see Sony product placement appear all over the place. 550 HDTVs will be scattered liberally about the stadium, in "luxury suites, lounges, concourses, restaurants and administrative offices." PS3 games will be available to play, such as MLB: The Show and its ilk, along with more surprising titles such as SingStar.
Games will be rotated periodically and it's possible that PSP and PS2 games could make an appearance, too. Sony Vaio laptops will also be dotted around for people to try out while theyre visiting. Stringer states that the "new home of the world's most renowned sports franchise -- with its storied history of leadership and excellence -- is the perfect place to showcase all that is Sony. It is thrilling for Sony to be playing a part in this new chapter in Yankee history."

Awesome, Yankees + Sony = winning combination.
But still, the only way to watch a baseball game is outside in the stands, not in some fancy box suite.

I hope good things keep happening for Sony. Advertising is always good, even if you payed over "550 Bravia and LCD HD televisions, and a PS3 gaming area in the park's Strike Zone."
If I'm not mistaken, Kaz was the guy who pioneered the idea of advertising the PS products in Stadiums.
IMO, the success of any product is all about advertising, first & foremost.

Got to admit I too have never heard of the New York Yankees , " worlds most renowned " !!! give me a break , perhaps Americas but certainly not the worlds !
I remember the Chicago Cows or something , due to the constant Nike advertising and range of clothing back in the Nineties but thats it as far as American teams go.
I don't expect Americans to know much about other countries players , sports stars etc either and I don't wish to appear to be having a go at US cos i'm not.
Whenever Im abroad I always see Liverpool , Man U , Barca , Milan , Juve and Celtic shirts whether Im in Africa , Asia , South America etc , that to me means global .

Damian=troll. Yankee fans and other Americans, just ignore him. He wants angry responses.

Maybe in America but around the world its certainly not.

There's a PlayStation pavilion in the new ballpark used by the Washington Nationals. Arcade style sit-down settings to play GT5 Prologue, with wheel and stick. Other coolness.
I attended a Nats game there but by the time I dropped by they had already shuttered it; too late in the game.
And from what I understand it's a mere showcase; you can't actually BUY anything there. Moronic.

Why would I ignore him? He makes a good point.
