First White Knight Chronicles DLC to hit Jan. 15
Level-5's J-RPG White Knight Chronicles has been out in Japan for little under a month now. While some have perhaps already finished the main story, it doesn't mean that the adventure is over just yet. DLC for WKC will appear on the Japanese PS Store on January 15 (tomorrow) and will add new costumes and a whole new quest for online multiplayer.
Those who own the game and plan to download the DLC will find that they'll have to meet certain in-game requirements before triggering the new mission. It'll only appear for those who have a guild rank of 7 or above, and it is recommended that players be at least level 36.
We wonder how frequent Level-5 plans to release these packs, as we're certain that there will be more. Also -- since it was not mentioned in the source article -- is Level-5 charging for this content? We'll probably find that out when the update hits the store tomorrow. Anyway, hopefully we'll see this additional content come our way when the game voyages to North America.

There is a 1 month lead time, sometimes longer between when a product is sent to Sony/MSFT/NTDY they approve, the product goes gold, is shipped and then is approved for sale.
That means they had about a month and a half to produce the DLC as it also has to be approved by Sony. Therefor I don't mind DLC on the same day as release, or very soon after release.

Great game. Combat seems a little too easy right now but I can live with it.
Quest objectives are nicely marked on the map so my limited Japanese isn't much of an issue.
I really enjoy the sound effects, the clink of my chain mail while dungeon crawling, or the perfect slash sounds my weapons make as I go to work on some aggro mob unwise enough to jump my party. I even enjoy that nice little "click" sounds weapons make when you sheath them after battle.
A well crafted game. It needs campaign co-op to be complete. Allowing multiplayer control over npc controlled party members would be great. Local players could just hop in and take control of a party member, or you could reserve a party member slot for one of your PSN friends.
Allowing other PSN accounts to hop into your campaign with their own character, appropriately level matched by the game, would be even better.
It's good to see DLC so quickly, it implies someone is taking this trilogy(?!) seriously. And our wallets even more so. If done right, and priced appropriately, it could be a win for all.
More please.

They usually make games easier in japan than in America. There they seem to be more into just sitting back and playing the game than pushing and challenging themselves with it. It may be harder here when Americanized (Naked vs. Solid Normal, for instance)
