.hack//Link announced in Japan

Something tells us that this newly revealed title, .hack//Link, has something to do with that countdown website we mentioned on Monday. CyberConnect2's website still has two days to go before the big reveal, but this early leak of Famitsu pretty much spells everything out -- unless CyberConnect2 has something else up their sleeves.

.hack//Link is the first .hack title to leave the PS2. From the looks of it, there appears to be a new protagonist, though images from the Famitsu scan suggest that hero Haseo from the G.U. series will be in the game in some form as well. The game will apparently take place in "The World R:X" and will follow closely to the manga of the same name. We'll probably know more details about the title in the next upcoming days once CC2's timer runs out.

Hell yes!! I knew .Hack was coming to the PSP! I'm more pumped for this than Kingdom Hearts! Now we just need a English release of the G.U. movie...

Sweet a new .hack game. I hope they add a multiplayer feature via Wifi since it's on a handheld.

I guess I'll when I head home, I'll pop in .hack//GU, also Kite from the first .hack is also in the .hack//link manga so expect him to be in it.

Oh, yeah, I remembered when I was excited for a new .hack game!
But then I played //G.U.
I honestly don't consider that a .hack game, because it takes all of the greatest things from .hack and either mutilates them or takes them out completely.

I'm not getting excited for this until I play it!

The scan pretty much says it...see "psp" advertised just under the .hack//link title? This game is for the psp system.

You mean I'm not the only one who hearts .hack? Crap! I have both sets of games and two out of the three animes so far. Man, this better come out over here! I've been waiting to see what would happen to this series. Whether it would make the jump to another Sony system or go somewhere else. That's another developer that sticking with the PSP and I am greatful to them. One last thing, I hope this isn't a single game but a trilogy or quadrology like the others. Yayyy!!!!

It's kinda strange, because the countdown is still up on the site, and at the right side of a area that talks about .Hack//Link, it says "comic" o.o While other ones says "ps3" and stuff... By the other hand, you can clearly see in this scans, that .Hack//Link is a game.. Unless that there will be a Game AND a Comic :D

YEEEEEEESSSSSSS! .hack on PSP! But what the....No BlackRose? Seriously, they need more characters from the old .hacks like Mistral and Blackrose. If they don't have BlackRose in that game, I am not going to enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed the other games. But I'm glad that AI Buster Albireo and a CELL Midori is in. Those guys are great. But I need mah .hack//ORIGIN (The first 4 .hack games) characters. Especially Mistral, Blackrose and Helba. But then again, I could just use Alkaid/Yowkow as my substitution for Blackrose....

But it looks like the concept art is following the Megane Kikuya's art style (the mangaka of .hack//link) rather than the usual art by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto which is far perfect for .HACK//'s type of setting. I wish the art inside the game was drawn by Sadamoto. But I guess Megane Kikuya's style fits since it's on the PSP. But I hope they switch the character designers back to Sadamoto when they get onto the main consoles again.

Can't wait...need game and PSP now!
