LocoRoco 2 won't cost more than two movie tickets, says Sony
It's true, the price of LocoRoco 2 won't surpass that of two regular movie tickets here in the US (don't get snarky, matinee and senior citizen discounts don't count). With a budget price of $19.99, there's really not much to complain about. The game is still set to roll into stores this February 10, so keep watch and save a Jackson for next month. And by the way, that huge image above is the official North American box art.

Where can you get two movie tickets for 20$?
The last time I saw a movie in a theatre it cost 26$. No movie is worth that.

I'm European and got to enjoy this great little game, and I have to say: ESPECIALLY with the budget price tag, it's well worth the money.
You should definitely get as soon as it's out.
A HUGE improvement over the first game. Lots, lots of fun!

This is seriously worth buying, even for people with custom firmware; the game literally fills a umd and makes us of the whole thing. Great game.

I bid on one on Ebay. I got it for $10.50 US dollars! It's the US edition so they should ship it the day of release! I'm so happy that I got it for that much!

Tidus @ Jan 14th 2009 3:57PM
You really have to pay THAT much for a movie ticket in US? In EU I pay less than 4 USD for a ticket.

Bought this over in London during the holidays for £19.99. Great game, fully worth it, even though I'm a bit perturbed about it's coming here for $19.99. Oh well, definitely loving the Loco.
Warner Young @ Jan 14th 2009 4:05PM
And still no sign that this will be offered as a download. Sigh.
Jeff @ Jan 14th 2009 4:35PM
If Sony does the same inNorth America, than in Europe, it shouldn't take long before being available on the PSN... for a higher price :-?
Bored @ Jan 14th 2009 7:47PM
When it was released in Europe, it was a simultaneous UMD/PSN release. No reason why it would be any different in the US.

Loco Roco's expression says it all for how I feel about this news!
Although I wonder how much the Canadian price will be, with our dollar falling so much behind the U.S. I hope it's close to the $19.99 MSRP, but I suspect it'll be more like $24.99 or $29.99 in Canada......
Merian @ Jan 15th 2009 2:58AM
Price doesn't matter. LocoRoco 2 is a great game and worth the money.
KinjiroSSD @ Jan 15th 2009 6:03PM
I haven't gotten an answer on the PS Blog yet so I'll ask you guys. Will LocoRoco 2 be released on PSN for download the same day for the same price?
aeron @ Jan 18th 2009 3:28PM
well, the average movie ticket cost here (TN) is $7.00
