Resident Evil 5 Collector's Edition (US) revealed, costs $90

If you're a hardcore Resident Evil fan, get ready to break the bank. Capcom has just unveiled its Collector's Edition version of the game for American audiences, and it is loaded with a lot of stuff. Obviously, you'll get the game, but you'll also snag a Tricell messenger bag, Chris Redfield figurine, BSAA patch and Kijuju-inspired pendant. A second bonus disc will also be included, with tons of special behind-the-scenes content.

But yeah, this is mostly worth it. I was going to buy the CE anyway, so this is good. Better than the European one, for sure.

It would be worth it if the figurine is well sculpted...but if it's anything like the rip-off Assassin's Creed CE, it's a must pass.

The only thing I'd really want I think is the bag. Maybe the extra DVD. I actually use my Mirror's Edge bag a lot--it's the perfect size for my laptop. I wouldn't mind having another one, but I agree that the figurine is a silly gimmick that doesn't add any value to the bundle (other than giving Capcom an excuse to hike the price up a few more dollars). I think I could pay $70 for it, but I don't know about $90.

If it was a GAME plus ALL 3 Resident Evil Movies on Blu Ray (seperate Cases) I would pay $90. But for a $60 game, and $30 junk, that total probaly costs $10 to make the junk out of sweat shops. Are you serial?

Money is hard to come into today, maybe your parents buy you games, but remember they are working 3+ hours a day for the $30. Don't blow their hard earned money on this junk young gamers. Are you kidding me?

Think, even if someone else buys you games, and you don't care, picture this.

Your parents or who it may be, works 3+ hours for that $30 probably at a job they hate just to make their children happy. Which some of you might do one day for your future children.

Don't waste your parents money on junk. You are already hurting them by wasting it on video games. I am not against Video Games. I own a PS3 i have owned quality systems since Atari and NES.

But put that $30 for a gift for them, or atleast towards another game.

You have Street Fighter IV, Killzone 2, and RE5 coming out. Don't get the BS extra junk. Get the regular copy. If you save the money for SFIV and RE5 by getting regular copies, you will have money for KILLZONE2.

It's not right, notice they are ripping you off. If they sold all 3 RE movies on Bluray with the game than buy the LE version. Than it would be worth it. But remember they are selling you $10 worth of junk for $30.

So imagine if they sell 1 million copies. Thats FREE $20 million for you guys being a sucker.

Also DONT LET GAMESTOP SCREW YOU. Let it be your last resort for trade ins.

You do know that parent's (well, most of them) are smart enough to handle their expenses right? If their kid wants $90 for something, the parent can decide to not give it to them. Or if the kid is using his allowance to buy it, it's really his/her decision on how to spend the money.

yeah dude. I see your logic, but it's not really common sense. These CE's or LE's or whatever are for the people that don't mind spending the extra dough to line their game shelves with limited edition figurines and what not. It's not really that much of a ripoff. I'm sure it cost a whole lot less than $30 to manufacture all of the extras, but in that sense, almost EVERYTHING you buy is a ripoff. I say let em buy it if they want.

I also think parents would probably walk into a store, see all the other games, and ask why the one their kid wants is 50% more than all the other new games.

One last thing. Gametz.com - stands for game trading zone. I've done over 20 or so trades, it's a GREAT place to trade. They have pretty much the perfect system in place with guidelines and feedback scores that resemble eBay's. I haven't met one person who is even close to shady on there yet. A friend of mine has over 500 trades on it, he swears by it. You list the games you have, then the ones you want, and the site automatically matches up possible trades for you and sends them to you via automatic emails.

Lets see here, $60 for the game, a 50 cent vending machine necklace, A worthless "Behind the scenes" DVD that will be on youtube within a day of release, A poor looking dollar store action figure, a patch, and one of those messenger bags they always give away for free. Thats worth about $62.50, Not $90
