50 Cent game better than Killzone 2 & Street Fighter IV, says Maxim

GameTrailers.com member GooseGoose has scanned a new issue of Maxim, the leading authority on video games. In it, the reviews crew reveals that the new 50 Cent game barely outdoes Killzone 2. Sony's upcoming FPS is "the hottest girl at the ball," but that can't compare to "a Wanksta-proof gem." Street Fighter IV also falters, lacking "old-school soul."

I think they only put video game stuff in there to attract younger viewers.

There's an embargo. The only reviews published are two official and one from the middle-East (supposedly), who all scored the game incredibly high.
Where are these mediocre reviews from?

They're trying to be just like Playboy, without the nudity. Playboy reviews movies, games, gadgets, everything. They are pretty well respected in that area while Maxim is not... for obvious reasons.

Goes to show you should never judge a game by it's cover/name/gameplay/hype/developer/publisher/main character/demo.

I got a chance to play a near complete build of Blood on the Sand and gamers are simply selling them selves short by not playing it. It's a complete blast and the action and story is VERY tongue in cheek... the game is self aware to the point of satire and is fun as hell to boot.

Better than Killzone 2? i doubt it. But the development budget don't really make them comparable IMO.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you actually played it, but a 50-cent game that its story is "tongue in cheek?" I think you either like 50 cent a lot or you want to be the black sheep of comments.

My point is... game designers are smart people, this was definitely made with exploitation in mind... and it is apparent in every frame of this game I have seen. Not to mention the action is fun as hell. It will make you laugh and it's fun. What more do gamers want? The production isn't trying to be the next "Braid" or "MGS4". But that doesn't mean the creators (or 50 for that matter) are as dumb as some people are making them out to be.

I am not a "fiddy" supporter. I listen to The Black Keys and The Mars Volta for crying out loud. ;)

I almost lost my breakfast after reading this. I hate Fiddy!!!!!! I wouldn't buy this game even if it actually was good just cus I hate that guy so much. His game, much like his music is overrated. And Maxim, seriously.....if it wasn't for the fact that I get you for free and like to look at tigole bitties I would cancel you for even reviewing this game.

"lacking old school charm" ?!?! sorry but i have played SFIV in the arcades and it has more old school charm than SF3, just because it's 3D? it plays the same, and it's overall a great game, as for killzone, tell that to the pretty well respected official playstation magazine who gave it a 10/10

they may be the official playstation magazine, but that doesn't mean they are not a credible source , they are extremely respected and if anything more harsh on some exclusives than others, they gave haze one of the lowest scores out of anyone, it was hyped, doesn't mean they gave it a good score, does the official xbox magazine give all 360 exclusives high scores, no
