Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings trailer unleashed
LucasArts has just released the very first trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones game, The Staff of Kings. This all-CG trailer says proudly mentions the Wii, but don't be fooled. The PlayStation logos are there because this game's also coming to PSP. We don't see any hint at gameplay in this trailer, but it's good to see that this project is alive and well.

I'd perfer the lego version even though I've played neither. Lucas arts should make another star wars for psp.

No Harrison Ford voice = no purchase.

Wow, INDY!!! :D I love it already ;) Is it also coming to ps3? Hopefully yes ;)

The DS???? they're putting this on the DS? Why? The DS can't handle shit like this. It's like sending a 90 lb. weakling in to a UFC ring. You can't help but look at that pussy, shake your head, and say "Gimme a break".

Wait, does this mean it's not coming to the PS3 and 360? I was hoping for a hi-def Indy game...

ehh, i've never been a fan of indiana jones games so i'm probably gonna pass on this one. i've never really understood what was so appealing about indy games, lara croft, uncharted, etc. but hey, if people like em then just go out and buy them

i am so close to not ever getting this if Harrison Ford isn't doing the voice acting for my main man Indy

Wow, what a crappy trailer. The transitions didn't even makes sense. Plus missing Harrison Ford voice, hmm. Might give it a look when it comes out, but it's going to have to get dazzling reviews...

Joystiq,
You REALLY need to do something about these adds popping up in the middle of trailers. I know you guys need to make money however, find another, PLEASE. Play the ads before the video starts, not during.

Uggh ... can't they let the franchise die gracefully? This looks worse than the last few cheezeball Indy games, and several steps down from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
As for those of you wishing Harrison Ford would voice this -- give it up. He's never done a video game voiceover, and he's not going to start now. He's not the most expressive voice actor in the world anyway, so you're really not missing much. The guys who did the last significant Indy games (Fate of Atlantis, Emperor's Tomb) did a passable job on the character and I suspect one of them would be invited back for this job.
I would be much happier with a simple, legally authorized, and reasonably priced port of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (along with the other SCUMM games) to DS and iPhone.
