WipEout Pulse PS2 port revealed by German ratings board

Not too long ago, we reported that a WipEout Pulse port was rumored to hit the PS2. Back then it was still intangible gossip; however now, there is substantial evidence that such a title is indeed in the works. German ratings board USK (Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle) has this PS2 port listed down in its database -- the record of which can be seen embedded in the image above.
Without any reciprocal rating on North America's ESRB, the PS2 WipEout title may never leave Europe -- that is, if it gets off the ground in the first place.

Good GOD, It seams as if Sony is trying to p!ss PSP owners off buy allowing former PSP exclusives to be ported to the PS2. To make it worse is the fact that they sell the PS2 version at a much cheaper price point over the PSP version, usually from $49.99 for the PSP at release to $19.99 or $29.99 for the PS2 port. I can understand a difference in price, but $30 bucks! I love my PSP, I just wish Sony would stop insulting PSP owners buy kicking out cheaper versions of "exclusive" PSP games for the PS2. If the same PSP game was knocked down the the new price for the PS2 version, then I think that at least would be a bit fare PSP users who don't have the game yet.

WHAT? lol Its a PS2 port of a PSP game, 720p @ 60 FPS will NEVER happen. Sorry to burst your bubble

ugh... this is so stupid. Sony seriously needs to stop trying to keep the ps2 alive by cannibalizing on the psp. If they really DO want to keep the ps2 rolling, then they should encourage developers to keep making ORIGINAL ps2 games and if they aren't willing to do that, then they should just let it die off.
Stuff like this is only going to hurt them in the long term.

good sweet lord, I hope this makes it to the USA ;_; Maybe I'll finally be able to play it without having to squint at a dinky screen and cramp my hands. If nothing else, fullscreen 480p @60fps is totally do-able with the PS2... I wonder if the downloadable content will be included. Be nice if they released Pure with all DLC, too.
