If you don't have to pay a monthly fee, count me in.

Well multiplayer is ad-hoc meaning no servers needed meaning no monthly fees. Also Phantasy Star Portable is compatible with the PS3's ad-hoc party. Atleast the JP version of the game is. Either way this will be a day 1 purchase for me and its going to suck having to start over again.

I'm really not sure which version to buy the one for the DS or the one for the PSP. might eventually have to pick them both up going to depend on how different the are. They look from what I can tell like totally different games.

I know I'm counting down :)

This will be great for those times I am around three other people that have PSPs. . . i.e. never.

Yeah, I have one friend who still regularly plays his PSP but Infrastructure would really have been nice and would've made for 'MMO' style portable gaming like we've never had before.
As it is, I place my bets (now) on the iPhone to break that barrier.
Even so, I'm probably all over this on launch day - first time I've felt that way about a PSP game in a long time.
