Street Fighter IV rankings separate Hadouken from Gadouken

There are those who like fighting games. Then there are others whose passion for the genre surpasses mainstream zeal to set up shack somewhere in the middle of crazy town. From the latter comes a chart sizing up the fighters in the console flavor of Street Fighter IV, highlighting the probable outcome when any two brawlers go toe-to-toe.

Compiled by Japanese enthusiasts, the chart breaks down out of ten bouts how many times on average a fighter will come out on top against a given opponent. For example, when Blanka enters the ring and sinks his teeth into Zangief, the burly wrestler only wins 3 out of 10 matches. However, according to the chart it's Sagat that trumps all others, with Rose at the bottom likely wondering if she should look into a different line of work.

Thanks for posting this but on several forums it's been noted that this list was mistranslated/miscompiled in many places. If you do a quick check you will see that many of the numbers don't add up correctly (and draw incorrect results).

Unless everyone really thinks Dan is a better fighter than 9 of the other characters.

Legendary Taunt aside, he isn't!

If you notice difference in points between #1 and #25 is only 41 out of a possible 147, that's pretty balanced... Sagat is a fantastic character but there all good (except El Fuerte, I'm just no good with him). Blanka as a top contender is a bit surprising, then again he is good...

Rose is at the bottom because there aren't enough players who are good with her or even play her. If players can master Dan then it's clear that they can kick arse with Rose if they put the same amount of commitment and effort into mastering her.

Rose is my main. I've had quite a few victories with her as well. I'm sort of happy that she's not as common as Ken. So it's a breath of fresh air when I go against "staple" Street Fighter characters.

I love to see the hesitation players go through when they don't have a clue on how to deal with her.

There are plenty of YouTube videos of some good Rose players. She may be at the bottom of this chart, but she rocks in others.

Wow, if this list is right my suspicions were correct. They completely gimped Guile by adding the new focus system and not rebalancing the character. He is nowhere near as good as he used to be.

Sagat has always been my favorite character, but I've never seen a chart like this. Also, this really doesn't take different playing styles into account at all. I wouldn't get in a tiffy over this folks.

In japan, our Balrog is their M. Bison (As in Mike Bison, as in a parody of Mike Tyson). Our Bison is their Vega and our Vega is their Balrog. Sagat didn't get a name change because he was in Street Fighter 1 in USA as Sagat.

I don't care what that tier list says (even though Sagat is one of my main players)... my Guile has been pwning foolios left, right and centre on SF4. Yeah they messed with his priority, but Guile stil can hang with the best of them. And if anyone wants to see if I am lying... add RagingStormX and I will be happy to give you a demo.
