Lately, Sony has taken a
Skittles-esque liking for more PSP colors. Japan just got the new
Carnival set and a
lilac system is heading to North America soon. And, as it would appear, a lime green PSP is also in the works. According to Chinese website
VGSky.com, the lime green PSP-3000 model pictured above was produced in a Sony factory in China. It's currently unknown whether this specific color is being mass-produced or just a prototype.
Japan already has 12 different PSP color variants released on the market, and North America will soon have six. Where will this new color go, if it is indeed legit?

Geeze, I want a new psp bad... I'm still kickin it with a psp1000. Does anyone put any merit on the whole psp 4000 rumors? Because if that really is on the horizon(and its as big an overhall as they make it sound) then I'll just wait for it...I'd probably do a 3000 right now, but NOBODY around here will do a trade in for a 1000. On that note...anybody with a 3000 think I should upgrade to it? Or should I attempt to wait for e3 for any new announcements?
oh, but the topic...right...lime green is really stretching this color theme here, not all that crazy about it...will it have a disgruntled kermit the frog on the back ala kratos or vader style? I might consider it then (seriously, kermit would need to be REALLY disgruntled...pissed even).

I have never understood why it takes manufacturers this long to release multiple colors. Some people buy things like this just because it is a "neat color" or because it matches something they own. Personally, I'm not a fan of the lime green, but you can bet that there are people out there pining for it.

I'm one of those that pick up systems partly based on their color schemes and how well they match up with something else. I would pick this one just to force myself to pick up a lime green dsi. Well that and I love green game systems.

I am very anxiously waiting for a PSP2 to be announced at E3, not a PSP-4000. So I have to wait two months for a PSP2 that may not even be announced and if it is, then another few months before its actually released in stores. : (

i have two psp's a sliver and black one 2001 and 2000 i do not plan on buying a 3000 . but if they made a psp2 or 4000 whatever they plan on naming as long as it a ture upgrade and not just a mode psp and can play batter games then psp out so far then i'm 100% sure i'll get one
