We're glad to see the game get an earlier release -- this Spring drought is killing us! With the game coming out so soon, we'll have to decide on which pre-order bonus we'll want.

YES! This has probrably something to do with Prototype. Generally, I'd think that it would be the Third-Party that would back down and release it later or earlier, but since I was expecting InFamous more than Prototype this is awesome news!

I have to agree, the two games are kinda smiliar and having both release in the same month wouldn't really be a good thing.

Interesting observation. Yeah, it seems like the two games are duplicates! I haven't done my research so I'm not even sure what the difference is at this point.
Infamous, I'm not that excited about at the moment, but that may change once I know more about it.
As for the spring dearth, I'm glad. It gives me some extra time to play the games I picked up last November and neglected (Resistance 2, GTA4 --> lol). Plus spend any other extra time picking up random trophies (I've been wanting to do a "one gun" run in Dead Space).

imo its win for prototype and less so for inFamous. they barely have been promoting this game and now they wont get the publicity from E3.
both games tho will sell better just because dates are a lil bit spread out.

As long as the game is the best it can be then I'm fine. If they give in to Prototype's release date and release it earlier than it should have been, I'll be annoyed. That wouldn't be good considering I'm already annoyed at that exclusive gameplay pre-order Gamestop bull****.
Either way, the game will still be a purchase for me.

moving it up a few weeks most likely means they dont need as much time to do polishing. if it was something serious left then they would have left the date....

for all we know, it could be near-finished. killzone 2 was ready months before february. they just pushed it back so that it wouldn't compete with resistance 2 and get caught up in the holiday rush.

The gameplay itself looks great. However, the game does have atrocious voice acting (at least for the main guy) and hamfisted moral choices. So not perfect, but probably fun to play. I do wonder why Infamous gets all the press and yet I hear nothing of Prototype. Isn't that the game where you run around as a monster?

true mike a lot of people slated crackdown and imo it's the best Co-op game i have played to date.My friend and i had so much fun but must people that played crackdown single player bashed it can't fricking wait for crackdown 2 hope they don't have orbs Jesus that wrecked my head trying to find the last one

This has probably been in the works since the date for Prototype was announced.
So if the Prototype devs try something like this I believe they will probably be involved with so much PR BS and bureaucracy that even if they get a earlier release date, InFamous will have been released by then.

they are different types of games. Though Naruto has an open world to explore it is really a fighting game. Personally, I really like Naruto UNS and all the free DLC they have released. If they patched in online multiplayer and trophies it would be the perfect game.

Hope this game and Prototype dont cannibalise each other's sales, but it does seem that more thought was poured into this game, while Prototype seems likke a more mindless (though fun) beat em up kind of title.
Reminds me of Psi-ops and second sight, didnt these 2 also come out in the same year as well?
