Silver DualShock 3 controller spotted at GameStop

Tired of your black DualShock 3 controller? Well, it looks like SCEA may finally start introducing new colors of the rumble-ready PS3 controller. Games retailer GameStop now features a listing for a silver DualShock 3 controller, with a MSRP of $54.99 and a June 24th release.

A retail listing is far from official confirmation, but GameStop has been a rather reliable source of early product listings. We're all for controller color diversity, so we're hoping this one is real.

Same here... and I like it better.... there is something about the white as a contrast to the black "everything" I have from Sony and Samsung

I would buy a dark blue or a white... But not so far as the need to import one...

Dude i got my white as an import and love it, except easy to stain w/ dead skin....

using coupons it was only $5 more and i got Vibration months early

Then they had a sale which made em cheaper than retail (but not as cheap as bargain hunting at buy.com or amazon.com)

The ceramic white one would be nicer (or metallic blue like JuanDHexen said)...as would SCEE doing this. Oh well, a guy can dream, and it'll be nice to see these outside of Japan at last. You never know, they may come over here as well.

Oh, I never knew that. Still no good for us europeans though, as amazon.co.uk doesn't sell them (I would assume amazon.de, .fr, .es etc don't either) and amazon.com don't post to the UK I don't think (wouldn't be any better than importing it myself anyway)

That's what I was just thinking. It would be a smart move on Sony's part. Even in a recession, sometimes a different color of a console is the tipping point that will encourage a consumer to take the plunge and make a purchase.
