Life not chibi enough? Watch this Atelier Rorona trailer

JRPGs are few and far between on the PS3. Thankfully, fans can look forward to the upcoming PS3-exclusive Atelier Rorona. It looks as though the game will feature all the typical dressings of a JRPG: cel-shaded anime style, chibi characters and anime cutscenes. It's filled with saccharin cuteness -- but will it be able to compete against the no-longer-360-exclusive Tales of Vesperia?

NIS America is supposed to announce a PS3 RPG on the 7th when they show their new lineup. I really hope this is the RPG they're announcing.

Seems interesting, hopefully they will leave the original Japanese voices on the disk, just can't play with English voices (I'm not native English, and I do know both English and Japanese). I hope more and more companies start to do this now when there is blu-ray.

Weren't JRPGs supposed to be one of the major reasons to get the Japanese PS3 rather than the American 360? Strange how things have turned out.

Somehow, the music remain me AR Tonelico at start. But, i'm looking forward for this RPG.

I guess in a way the music does feel a little like Ar tonelico but that is probably because both Atelier series and Ar tonelico are both made by Gust however Ar tonelico uses hymnos and this is just strictly just Japanese music. I'm just a big fan of Ar tonelico(especially the sequel that came out like 3 and half months ago to America). So yeah I can tell the difference between the music in Ar tonelico and Atelier but I will say Atelier's music has never disappointed me but of course Ar tonelico's music also keeps getting better and better and hoping for Ar tonelico 3 to be on PS3 with even more great hymnos music and maybe even full voice acting. I love rpgs that Gust make even more so then Square Enix.

RPG's are finally coming around. I'm still waiting for White Knight Chronicles and (hopefully) a US release of Demon Souls. I guess I'll just have to import...

yeah I need to import Demon Souls as well. The Chinese version is completely in english anyway including menus, text and dialogue.

White Knight is coming sometime towards the last half of the year here in North America. Also, Cross Edge is coming out in a few weeks here in North America.
