Looks absolutely sick for a psp game, I'll probably get this over Tekken 6.
hurricane @ May 5th 2009 3:12PM
Looks absolutely like gameplay from SCIV...
kbomb1upc @ May 5th 2009 2:30PM
If only Sony would had Dual Analog sticks...TSK TSK...
Roto13 @ May 5th 2009 2:36PM
Yeah, 'cause a second analog stick is totally useful in fighting games.
Oh, wait....
Roto13 @ May 5th 2009 2:36PM
Even though I already knew, this trailer kind of bums me out because it's Soul Calibur IV and I already own that. xD
But still, SCIV on the toilet? I gotta get me a PSP.
tobz1000 @ May 5th 2009 2:44PM
That's not in-game. They just set up a giant PSP behind some invincible mutants and got a fight going. You can tell at 00:36.
Angel Mass @ May 5th 2009 2:51PM
Lets hope it really came up looking that way
slickbwoi @ May 5th 2009 2:51PM
if that really is in game... then OH MY GOD!!
thats a 100% preorder for me here in the UK... I cant wait for it, hopefully more games in the future will be able to push the PSP this far...
Praxis @ May 5th 2009 4:43PM
No way man... Its definitely not ingame video. .
Lars @ May 5th 2009 5:49PM
Have you seen GoW on PSP?
Now just imagine how much more fidelity they could get out of it if all the action was confined to one room against one enemy.
Darlaten @ May 5th 2009 2:56PM
This is on my list of games to buy - heck, it's SC so It's a must buy in my book. Now, I wonder if there will be any cross linkage with SCIV on the PS3, i.e, can you swap clothing earned/purchased in SCIV to the PSP version or sinc stats between characters? If so, that would be sweet.
WhiteShield @ May 5th 2009 3:48PM
you know, no matter how the graphics are, i'm going to get this game. however i feel that this might be a tad like motorstorm where the devs will come out and say "oh ya, that wasn't really gameplay, that was just edited video. here's the REAL stuff" but then again it is soul calibur, and its going to ge a great game. so just release the game when it is finished, and i will definitly pick it up on or near release. hopefully gameplay straight from the game with the bar and everything will be out soon
Manji Ninja @ May 5th 2009 5:33PM
Sure looks an impressive port. They did a great job of Tekken DR so i'm sure this will not disappoint. I hope the Japanese voices option is still there, i refuse to play SC with the rubbish English dub. I wouldn't expect to see full online play though, only local wifi.
jesus @ May 5th 2009 5:37PM
I wonder if they are going to take out some characters and add new ones...there are no star wars characters, so that brings the roster down, and they will probably take out the bonus characters. The only new character I saw was the aristrocratic pimp....hehe
PSN: Erdie (Now equipped with Wii!) @ May 5th 2009 5:40PM
I don't play SCIV a whole lot anymore, but portable? Oh yes, oh hell yes.
KinjiroSSD @ May 5th 2009 5:46PM
Look more like SCIV than a PSP game. I call BS.
cafecito @ May 5th 2009 8:02PM
Really impressive. After playing Tekken DR, my faith in Namco is absolute... they really know how to milk the PSP. And now they can use the full 333 Mhz...
Dehshizknight @ May 5th 2009 8:37PM
Can't wait till this one's out
Neo Asuma @ May 6th 2009 12:27AM
60 FPS and close to PS3-like graphics? I'll have to see it to believe it, but as of now, I don't think this trailer is real.
tobz1000 @ May 10th 2009 10:03PM
This isn't PS3 graphics. If you look at stills, the models are about PS2 quality, and some of the scenery actually looks worse than SC2/3, but on a screen this size it doesn't need to be better. Although from some of those shots, the lighting may be just as good.
