Nippon Ichi announces Last Rebellion for PS3

Nippon Ichi has announced their latest PS3-exclusive RPG, and surprisingly it's not Trinity Universe. Last Rebellion certainly doesn't take advantage of the graphical capabilities of the PS3, but promises a dark story of revenge atypical of most JRPGs. A joint collaboration between Nippon Ichi and HitMaker, Last Rebellion introduces a VATS-like turn-based combat system where players can target specific body parts to strategically disable enemies.

Last Rebellion will feature two main characters: Nine, a warrior, and Aisha, a magician. Players will be able to switch between the two during battle. Last Rebellion is currently scheduled for a Fall release in America.

I care. I didn't know the dreamcast was still getting game support, otherwise I would have kept it.

I care too, but not as much as most would think, I loved Disgaea 3 and I'm certain I'll love Cross Edge, but this no matter what or how you defend it is a fugly FUGLY game!!!!

It better be fun or no one's gonna buy it.

Face it, we live in a country where the surface appearances are king! And this surface looks like most grandmothers.

Any I don't give a damn, remember Nippon Ichi just started doin these 3D games so give some time they'll get better. With Sony backin em they're sure to get better. Just need some mo RPGs F' da BS

lol or it was prolly supposed to be a PSP game but they said what the hell, lets do it on the big system.

well its apparent the visuals are lacking, but hey, ill gladly welcome it! look at the first disgaea game for the ps2, it looked like a ps1 game but it received a lot of positive reviews and numerous ports, its not all about graphics guys... for example, look at the wii lol, now stfu about it!

Exactly, since when that RPG is all about graphic? As long as there's a fun in it. Good story with likable characters. I would take PS1 graphic RPG with great story on PS3 over recent RPG titles any day.

I don't know about a US release, but I'm pretty sure the Asian version (Chinese basically) of Demon's Souls has full English if you're willing to import it. Not sure how long it'd take, but I'm thinking about it, yesasia or play-asia have it listed.

Since when its about graphics? the way i see RPGs...its the only think that saves them from been just a "text RPG game" since the ps1... JRPGs its all about flashy cutscenes ( and you only pressed magic>firaga or some sh1t like that). If this game looks sh1t since the beggining and thos NIS dudes cant program in 3d... then i can say for sure this game will be crap and buggy.

Does that mean we have two more JRPG coming? Today is a good day indeed. I'm sure I will get them both anyway even if I have to get a Japanese version of Trinity Universe.

And please JRPG, please remain turn based JRPG don't westernise into any FPS with a story line and say that it's an RPG.
