Fight like a king with these SNK fighting sticks
You'll need to wield a sturdy fighting stick if you ever plan on becoming a champ in the fighting genre. Everyone knows that; Capcom knows it, Namco Bandai knows it, and SNK Playmore knows it, too, which is why the latter will be releasing two, brand-new controllers alongside King of Fighters XII in July. The first is a King of Fighters XII USB Stick featuring character artwork of series favorites Iori, Athena and others plastered on the topside. The second fighting pad is the Neo Geo Stick 2, a throwback to the classic controller, which will finally be available for PS3 (It's already out for Wii). They retail for ¥6,279 ($65) and ¥5,229 ($54), respectively.
Now, why are those prices in Japanese currency? Well, unlike the game itself, these sticks haven't been given a worldwide release date. They hit Japanese stores on July 16th and hopefully we'll get them in time for launch date, too.

Would going with Hori to make the stick been too hard SNKP? I will get one only if its easily modded or it comes stock with complete semitsu or sanwa part.

Based on just the prices of these sticks, I can tell you neither of them will come with any Semitsu or Sanwa parts.

Since the wii already has the fighting pad for this game does it mean that KOFXII will also be on the wii?

Don't have SF, but would the NeoGeo stick work for Soul Calibur4? Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I've shelved SC4 b/c I don't have a decent fighting stick, and the Hori seems expensive... (Even on Ebay...) Or, would spending the extra green be worth it over either of these two?

it'll work on with any and everygame

KOF!!
I'm not even going to compare to SF.

Is it microswitch based?
Gunsmith @ May 15th 2009 5:00PM
It should have microswitches but no guarantee of sanwa parts -
but more importantly - this can't seriously have a six button layout. It just can't be. It's the stupidest thing (for kof players) I have ever seen.
I'd go on but there's a joystick thread you should check out @ orochinagi.com
