Bionic Commando Rearmed drops to $4.99 on PSN

Capcom Unity has announced on its Twitter account that the excellent Bionic Commando Rearmed has received a price cut on the US Playstation Store. Specifically, the once $10 game is now available for only $4.99. If you haven't taken the plunge on the beautifully revamped remake, there's no time like the present.

After all, it's not like you get to explode the head of a resurrected World War 2 dictator every day. And, even if you did, it wouldn't be this cheap.

"It was initially our goal to retro-program in trophies for BCR while we were working on them in the 3D version. Unfortunately, the clock ran out and we had to put all our resources on completing the 3D game. I know this comes as a disappointment to a lot of people and trust me, it’s incredibly disappointing to me as well, but rather than giving you a PR-coated response, I’d rather give it to you straight. It was a tough call but with limited resources and time, we had to cut this from the main production schedule in order to make the 3D game the best it could be. Again, personal apologies for not being able to come through with this one."

Yea, I'd rather pay the full $10 and actually have the trophy patch they promised. That been said $5 does seem like an awesome deal for this game so I might still get it.

forget it, they promised trophies MONTHS ago and now it's not happening. they make it sound so hard to put some simple trophies in that they said they would do. i'm soooo done with crapcom

Capcom really needs to hold up to its promise of a trophy patch though.

I was going to buy this a little while ago but I decided against it (because I use prepaid credit cards and they're kind of a pain in the ass). I'm glad I waited.

Ive been bugging a mate to buy this since release, hope he will finally get it now.

Hopefully it will get a boost in sales and convince them to release future titles at a lower price (yaright)

It's why they wont get my money. I played, and beat the game years ago, going back to play the game again, without trophies does not make sense to me.

Sure $5.00 is a cheap price for a game.

But I am choosing to vote "no" with my wallet..

Looks like making a game in 3D was their top priority. Pshaw! 3D is so overrated. I saw Colraline, I was only mildly amused. I'll take a digital trophy stamp any day over an immersive 3D landscape.

If you read the post at the Playstation blog, he's pretty apologetic about the trophy thing, which I'll give him credit for doing. None of that "hey we didn't promise nothing" stuff we saw with Street Fighter II

Even without trophies, though, if you've never played the original BC I'd still recommend picking it up, especially for $5.

It surprises me that game-publishers still dont see the power of these trophies. Allot of HC gamers wont buy the game unless it has trophies.

WAKE UP!!

Your missing out on allot of money, so patch this game already.
