European Resistance 2 Home space available ... now?
You'll need to be over 18 to access the Resistance Home space, but once inside you can take part in a minigame which tasks you with fending off waves of Chimeran aerial forces from the Chicago Railway Station with a "four-barrelled quick-repeating turret gun." It's no 12-guage double-barrelled Remington, but it'll do.
Additionally, the first 3,000 visitors to find and input a hidden promotional code in the space will obtain a Resistance 2 in-Home t-shirt. Once the space actually goes live, that is ...
Update: The PlayStation Blog has updated with some more information about the space, as well as to state that it will be available in America on May 21. It will also feature Resistance 2 game-launching.

I really really really hate the home spaces. The reason being is that they made them all so you have to stand in line and try and get in a game. Then there is some butt hole who will put a bubble machine right in front so you cant even try and get a game going since the bubble machine stops you from getting in. I waited forever to get in the Siren game space and have yet to get in. At least with Xi i can run right into everything without a wait. I don't want to have to wait to play anything i want to be able to jump right in a game.

Well of course its gonna be harder to get in the mini games when a certain home space first comes out, everyones rushing to try it out. Since the Siren space for example has been out for a bit, I find it real easy to get in to a mini game.

And Sony wonders why gamers are "Home-jumping" all the time. Hey I've got an idea: make every Home region the same, incorporate new features at the same time, etc;.
R2 Home Space does sound good though.

is it coming to the US? i'd like to shoot stuff
drdre74 @ May 20th 2009 1:54PM
since this is a one person shooter you'll be in line for over a hour before you even get to play it the way Home Spaces are set up

if you're standing in line that long you're doing it wrong. if a place is too crowded i leave and comeback and usually get a less crowded instance. and if some jerk puts a bubble machine out you just cycle through to the game like you would a crowd of players.

Wow not to sound like a douche, but isn't it a little late for a Resistance 2 space since the majority of that community has moved on to other games? This would have been cool as hell when the game was relevant.
At least it isn't as late as the Warhawk space.

i just got R2 because i had to budget when it first released. i found games quick enough.

I know what you mean, but the online community on R2 is still very much alive and kicking. I have never had a problem finding a game.
This has at least given me a reason to load HOME up again, although I will probably have to sit there for ages while it downloads all the areas again !!

Doesn't it look like the guy is controlling the turret with a mouse? Is this possible in any PS3 or Home game?
orlandpark77 @ May 20th 2009 4:09PM
i know for a fact that you can use a mouse in unreal tournament 3
Godmars @ May 20th 2009 2:50PM
