Crash Commando patch incoming, DLC in the 'near future'

Crash Commando is about to receive a pretty heavy patch soon, in anticipation of some upcoming DLC which has yet to be revealed. The patch adds a lot of new features, including Home game launching, custom soundtracks as well as improved balance and matchmaking features. There's also a slew of UI improvements and gameplay enhancements, the full list of which can be seen on the latest PlayStation Blog post.
The patch will go live tomorrow -- May 28 -- and a demo will also be made available on the PlayStation Store, which may persuade you to pick the full version up. The blog post also mentions some "all new exciting downloadable content and game modes" which should be arriving "in the near future." We're looking forward to it.

I loved this game when I got it, but after about lvl 20/25, I had to put it down. It just got too repetitive. Hopefully this update will be enough to help me get that gold trophy for it

The patch came out late night Friday. Its cool. Custom soundtracks is very nice. Every online game should have this. It just sucks that Sony can't have for all games because of a stupid patent. But devs should definitely have custom soundtracks in their games.

WIth the patch, does this game support multiplayer?
Heavytoka @ May 27th 2009 9:16PM
Do you mean offline multiplayer? If so then no.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Why haven't they added it yet? That's honestly the only thing standing in my way of buying it. With all my friends out of college for the summer and having 4 DS3's, it's hard for me to understand why a game like that can support online but not offline multiplayer.
