Wow...this game makes me want to buy a PSP...and I've not been able to say that about ANYTHING that has come out for it. Color me impressed.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for someone to copy Comix Zone's theme and setting. Comix Zone was one of my favorite games for the Genesis.

Mmmm...it looks alright. It doesn't look like something I'd buy right away although I probably would after playing must-have type games on PSP.
j.howlett @ Jun 8th 2009 12:36PM
i'd download this if i like the demo and/or the price was right.

So it's posts this comment but not the one I've tried submitting 8 times now? What's going on with you Joystq?
cafecito @ Jun 8th 2009 2:55PM
Heh, happens. I sometimes have trouble posting as well... thing doesn't post at all or gives me that "email has been sent" crap. But oh well.
cafecito @ Jun 8th 2009 2:58PM
Yeah, board gives me some trouble sometimes as well. Doesn't post at all or gives me that "We sent you an email" shit. It's terribly flawed, and it has been forever.
Nalanitram @ Jun 8th 2009 1:20PM
This looks like the old Comic Zone, but better! I used to love that game!!
cyr3n @ Jun 8th 2009 1:33PM
i got a chance to demo this and its a good throwback to the side scroller brawlers common back in the day. Think golden axe and doubledragon but with a modern independent comic flare. Definitely pick this one up!
cafecito @ Jun 8th 2009 2:57PM
Looks pretty decent, I'd say. Kind of a Streets of Rage - Comix Zone crossover. But what's important is the gameplay itself... no fun in a beat-em-up if the fighting engine has no substance.
Nobledevil @ Jun 8th 2009 3:18PM
Come get some!
At least the game knows what it's ripping off and has a sense of humor about it.
David Black @ Jun 8th 2009 3:45PM
This looks like fun and I like the style. If it's priced right it could be a day one buy for me.
Roto13 @ Jun 8th 2009 3:52PM
Well no I don't know what to feel.
Roto13 @ Jun 8th 2009 3:53PM
*now I don't know etc.
Stupid lack of an edit button.
Covarr @ Jun 9th 2009 12:20AM
Not like Comix Zone. Comix Zone actually looked like comic book style artwork, and Sketch interacted with the pages and layouts in unique ways.
This, on the other hand, seems only to use comic books for its story. Artistically, it draws from the *omfg super edgy* comics, because dark and broody and emo and edgy is all the rage right now.
Also, Howard Drossin's Comix Zone soundtrack was pure win, in a way this game can not possible live up to.
