Ico costumes for LittleBigPlanet revealed

This week's DLC pack for LittleBigPlanet is, as teased, related to Team Ico's first two games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. The pack will contain costumes, stickers and sound effects and the Ico costumes have already been revealed, with Shadow of the Colossus costumes being shown off tomorrow. You can see Ico himself in the image above and Yorda after the break. It's slightly disappointing that this pack doesn't include new levels a la the Metal Gear Solid 4 DLC, but we'll still take it. Who knows, maybe one of the stickers will show the Kitty Dragon from the Last Guardian trailer.

I guess that disappointing really is the best word to describe this pack. It had so much potential...

Was hopeing for some Ico levels :(
Ah well.
Lookhappy @ Jun 8th 2009 11:36AM
Ah gutted! I know they're trying to encourage people to make their own levels, Ico and colossus style, but still - I'd rather play 4 awesome levels by a really good set of game developers than 500 shit levels by non-game developers.
(that said, there are some awesome LBP levels around so not all user created ones are poop - I especially loved the contra levels)

Hey have you guys noticed that when you are trying to customize sackboy that if you hit the R1 or L1 button sackboy will turn?? press it again and he will turn and show you his back?? MM was thinking about thier customers when they updated this.
Letters2Kay @ Jun 8th 2009 12:34PM
Nice. The last big update had "improved sackboy customization" but I wasn't sure what that meant, exactly, or how to use it. Thanks for the info...

boooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Dammit. It's a reluctant buy from me. I'm sick of getting charged so much for costumes. The longer the game is out, the less expensive this stuff should be. I'd bought every piece of LBP DLC until the Judge Dredd pack, then I'd had it. It's not worth this much cash just to have some cool outfits. I'll buy this pack because I love Shadow of the Colossus, but they're not going to sell me much after this unless it's undeniably awesome. Good luck, MM.

i'm getting these for sure.
Patrick @ Jun 8th 2009 12:53PM
Shame, i'd have brought it if it was a level pack.

its fully disappointing, costumes and stickers? forget it. Ico is in my top 5 games of all time that is in the 22 years of gaming. I will gladly pass at this. I wished for levels, didn't get them another reason not to put lbp back in the ps3. Sad really but there you go.

its fully disappointing. And you should have higher standards , I wished for ico levels not costumes and stickers. I PLAY lbp not share or create so this is just a waste of time to me.
good thing burnout paradise big surf and kz2 maps are out thursday.
Tek12x @ Jun 8th 2009 12:58PM
MM should think about making a Sackboy world kind of like Playstation Home. That would be pretty kool. Having sackboy walk around in a 3D world.
Kdiggy @ Jun 8th 2009 12:59PM
I'll make some cool ICO levels don't worry about about that.
NoughtSoClever @ Jun 8th 2009 1:14PM
Actually, it wouldn't be as bad if the user created content based on existing IPs like Ico weren't quickly deleted after being published.
AceRadd @ Jun 8th 2009 2:32PM
NoughtSoClever: That hasn't been the case since about the second week of the game being out.
Apparently the moderation was so heavy handed at the start because the staff at SCEJ misunderstood, and were deleting whole levels if they saw a sackboy dressed as Mario, or whatever, playing through them.
Words were had, and there's been no problems since. Shame there's still all this misinformation floating around.

patch 1.14 is live and weighs 43mb - i guess it's just these and other costumes... lol

I'm still waiting for a Final Fantasy 7 pack to get Sackboy Sephiroth that they showed a long time ago. When are we going to hear some information about that?
eNrique @ Jun 8th 2009 3:47PM
I'm tired of this bullshit dlc, stickers, costumes, sounds, ppfffffftt.
I WANT SOME REAL DLC WITH LEVEL PACKS MEDIA MOLECULE!!!

I have to agree with most people here. I would have loved some Media Molecule designed levels to go with the pack. I'll probably still end up buying the costumes, but I'm umming and ahhhing about it. It would have been a complete Must Have purchase if levels were included.
