Comet Crash patch adds YouTube recording
It's one of the best (and most underused) features of the PS3: the ability to record gameplay footage onto YouTube. The quietly-released strategy PSN game, Comet Crash, is getting a new patch that adds YouTube recording, amongst other features:

- Flag icons added to scoreboard. If you have an existing score, you have to get a better score in order to register your flag.
- Save Data for Campaign progress.
- Campaign time penalties are now applied as they occur, instead of at the end of the game.
- Rank is displayed in Area Complete screen.
- Building on top of units of the same team will destroy them instead of floating them.
- In Battle mode, the player that destroys an enemy base gets a Thorium bonus.

Anyone like this game? I love Monsters but the visuals just look so drab in this offering.

It's got some cool things going for it. I played this longer then Savage Moon, but less time then Monsters.
Like Monsters, you have an avatar to move around. But unlike Monsters, you can fly, so there's no dealing with rivers or mountains or waiting for a monster to pass before you can move. Your ship can be shot at as if it were any sort of flying unit, so there's SOME amount of avoidance. Not too much though, since you can always just go back to home base for a health refill.
The real "feature" of the game is the army building though. Basically, you don't win after a set number of waves or a certain amount of time, you have to build an army to break through the other guy's defenses. It really is fun, and adds a cool element to the tower building since you need to leave space for unit builders.
The map design is pretty cool too. There are folks who like free form tower defense... ala Desktop Defense or Field Runners... and then there are folks who like pathed Tower Defense, ala Pixeljunk Monsters or Geo Defense. This one, while leaning a bit to the latter, is a great mix of the two allowing you enough space to build "mazes" and block off different paths. Plus the addition of gates allows you to build a maze, but not force your own units to have to go through it.
....sorry to go on for so long... but I think it's a worthwhile purchase. I'll give it a 8 out of 10.

I love this game... I think the addition of offense makes it better than PJM. I dl'd this game right when it came out and played it everyday until my exams started in May. If you like tower defense get this game, you won't be disappointed.

It doesn't look as good as PJM, but it's one of the best tower defense games I've ever played. It's a lot more flexible in terms of what you can build and where, everything is balanced, and attacking the enemy while defending yourself makes it quite a bit more exciting than PJM. Also, the multiplayer is excellent, but local only.

It's decent, but not worth 10 dollars.

I've never heard of this game.

I think concentrate on getting it out in the EU instead!!

Why isnt this a standard on all PSN games? Sony has a edge with this but nobody puts it in the games? LBP should be the main game with this patched in. To record levels before people play them to weed out the sorry levels.
