ZEN Pinball is top downloaded PSN game in May

Looks like our glowing preview of ZEN Pinball paid off for Zen Studios. The first (and only) pinball game on the PlayStation Network met an incredible debut, taking the top spot in May. Perhaps the free demo, which showcased the game's solid physics engine and graphics, convinced gamers to go for the full version?

According to GamerBytes, Zen Studios' Pinball FX did "similarly well" on Xbox Live Arcade. That game went on to sell 250,000 units over time -- perhaps ZEN Pinball can meet an equally favorable fate? In addition to ZEN, the rest of the top 5 included many PSN mainstays:

ZEN Pinball
Worms
Mortal Kombat II
Wheel of Fortune
Flower

This game plays great in the demo. I'm not at all surprised. Great to see people still embracing something new in Flower.

Its a solid Worms title, Online is fun, trophies are medium difficulty. I'd buy it if i were you.

I love Zen Pinball even though I'm not very good at it. I'm slowly making my way through the trophy list and I love the fact that you can use custom soundtracks.

Listen.. this game is real good no doubt.. epically for the price.
+'s are :
Prob the only game on the PSN (and PS3 in general) That utilizes both the Mic and Cam (it the only game i have my cam on for actually... i put stuff in front of my cam.. funny things like books.. stuffed animals.. baby dolls.. hey i have nieces and nephews w baby toys lol) ppl lol all the time..

Custom Soundtracks! Shit is dope.. BUT its wack that you cant use this feature online.. like why the fuck not?

Boards are pretty dope.. Except for V12... holy hot piece of horse shit of a design..

4 players , fun to play, and trophies are koolio as usual

But

theres only 4 boards... thats wack juice.. cuz you kno they're gonna make you pay a lil bit for sum more boards.. prob another $5 :(

a little repetitive at times..

Did i mention V12 was hot alligator dung?

all in all.. good pick up and play games.. espically if your old school like me and you dig Pinball in general.

As someone who's owned just about every PC and console pinball game ever, I've extremely impressed with Zen. Hopefully someday there'll be more tables or a sequel. Or better yet, let them take over the HOF series and make some awesome and realistic re-creations. Bride of Pinbot, anyone?
