Buy Metal Gear Solid 4 for a bargain price of $1,000

We get pretty nervous when publishers start testing the waters with higher price points, so we like to think our sticker shock at seeing this $1,000 listing for Metal Gear Solid 4 is forgivable. But it is a pretty good game and we would like to have a second copy, just in case. Plus, there's only one left in stock!

But just as we were about the make the purchase, we noticed that shipping price. $7.99?! What, are we made of money?

This showed up in my recommendations when I woke up and I Had to look twice, it was just shocking. Its like those people when they were selling Wiis for over 1000$

@tristanh12: Not really. Wii/PS3 reselling was intentional price gouging, this was some kind of (automated?) price mistake by KAMCO-INTL. It doesn't even look like Amazon was involved at all, making this a moderately funny non-story for a slow day, at best.

Amazon's site is weird about that. I saw Red Dead Revolver (PS2) for $122, MVP Baseball 2005 on PC for $143 and Karaoke Revolution Country (PS2, not the bundle, so no mic) for $121. It's ridiculous, but a $1,000 is just a bit more ridiculous.

The thing is, it always seems to be other sites selling their product on Amazon. Do people actually buy stuff from them and are the sellers that clueless on their product?!

I have friends who just bought the game based on the demo. So either you hate action/stealth games or you suck at MGS4, MGS4 in no way sucks, it defines epic. As much as I like LBP it's not even in the same league as MGS4. MGS4's value is worth more than $60 so get out of here with your $5. That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day, lol.

There are bad sellers on Amazon that do this on purpose. Put up one over-priced item and hope some sucker buys it. Amazon sanctions this, so I question their judgment on these things.
