Quantum team says PS3 has 'the highest specs'

With Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Undead Knights also coming from Tecmo, it appears the company has shifted gears towards being a largely Sony-oriented development company. That's strange, considering the large number of high-profile Xbox-exclusive titles the company is known for: Dead or Alive and the original Ninja Gaiden games. This apparent change in platform choice isn't intentional, though. "It's not that Tecmo is shifting away from the Xbox 360. It's about timing. From the beginning this was seen as a PS3 title and it happens to be coming out at the same time as Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2."

uncharted and 007 are one of them... i know GOW did not invented the gameplay but its true there are a lot of "hide and shoot" games out there.

3rd person shooters are a dime a dozen this generation, and they all handle very similar... if they made anything remotely like Gears, it could be called a Gears ripoff. Though, I have to say, they could blatently come out and say "we're making Gears of War for PS3 and slapping a different name on it" and as long as it's good, it doesn't matter.

Uncharted isn't a total "rip-off" of Gears, but the game's cover system is similar to that of Gears. Even one of the developers from Naughty Dog said that the game was a combination of Tomb Raider & Gears.
Other than the cover system, Uncharted is quite unique.

I kind of have a feeling that this game will be some what generic. Everything I've seen so far graphically has looked good but not entirely sold on this 'living tower' idea.

Sure but you have to be able to squeeze it out of this monster. Games like Uncharted 2 show what the system is capable of. I hope this generation doesn't soon so we can see what it's truly capable of.

a living deadly tower sounds like something straight out of an NES game storyline. I hope this game is better than Gears. I only thought Gears was OK, not as great as everyone else thought.

I thought Gears was pretty good, not great. I had planned on getting a 360 for Fable 2 and Gears 2, Too Human, and Alan Wake. But since two of those turned out to be only pretty good, one turned out to be miserable, and one still hasn't turned out... I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with the 1.5 systems I have. (My PS3, the girl's Wii).

I'll have to get one for Shadow Complex if it doesn't find it's way to Steam. Out of Ll the over hyped games of this generation, Shadow Complex is the one that will sell the system for me.

I love Gears and Gears 2 and Quantum does look good so Ill get it also.
Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma is a buy just for Coop. I loved Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360.

Team Ninja is apart of Tecmo but over half of Team Ninja left Temco when
Itagaki did. Now that team is working on a 360 game.

I think Itagaki is cool. Hes open minded and doesnt care what other people think. Hes the father of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. Ill be sad when Ninja Gaiden 3 and Dead or Alive 5 hit since they will most likely not be the same.
Atleast Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is kinda like a port so it still has his feel for the most part.

PS3 hardware is the most powerful? Ha ha ha, oh wow. Have they seen how badly Crytek had to dumb down CryEngine 3 for consoles? Talk to me when a PS3 can rival the visuals of any modern PC; in the meantime, I'll just enjoy high resolution textures and anti-aliasing.

What they mean is the post powerul CONSOLE hardware.
And by the way, the PS3 does a fantastic job coming close to "any modern PC" for the money. Look at Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 2.
Not to mention its a fantastic living room HTPC and Blu-ray player.
It's fantastic having Tecmo back on board PS3. Ninja Gaiden 2 and Quantum look amazing.

dude the original Ninja Gaiden came out on the NES. search 'Ninja Gaiden' on IGN if you don't believe me.

The first DoA console version was Sega Saturn , but I think he means in more of the recent console wars, DoA 3 was the first exclusive title. I'm still pissed that Tekken 6, a PS staple, will be on another system (GBA & PSP versions excluded)

it's just a shame that everyone here thinks this looks generic to me the graphics are awesome as do others is it me is 360 fanboys all they do is go on sites disguised
as a ps3 owner and try to rate down every game that's only on ps3 this game is a potentional title and could be a big hit just because it looks like gears of war that makes it a bad and aweful looking title the game is at it's early stage 40% complete
and there adding more action to it making it more action packed than any shooter out there there will be more action than you could possibly imagine tecmo is been successful either it's NG,or ,doa,or fatal frame they have never ever let us down in action I,am pretty sure the graphics will improve a little bit if ps3 owners thought that it looked awesome before wait till the final version comes tecmo is just giveing a little taste of whats to come. ps3 owners should be keeping there eye on this game. the game to me is amazing imagine ninja gaiden with guns and cover and a living tower tecmo has said that cover will be taken away or spawn from the ground or walls it will keep you on the go and it's way faster than gears of war
