Trophy leaderboards coming to European PlayStation site
The PSN's Trophy system continues to get updated. Most recently, PlayStation.com users (in Europe and America) have been able to track their Trophy progress online. The next update to the European site (and presumably, the American site as well) will allow users to compare Trophies with friends and even see leaderboards for specific titles. This example image shows friends going up and down in rank with their completion of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.
Certainly, this isn't a revolutionary feature, but it's certainly a welcome one. Update: The European site already features portable PSN cards -- will America ever join in? What other Trophy-related features do you want on the PlayStation site?

@jakko
I've seen quite a few individuals at lvl 18 with 40+ Platinums alone , now that's crazy, I imagine most of these to be jobless slobs whose grammas bring them food and wipe their butts as the play. Or extremly rich and have srevents doing the same.

My understanding was that europe already had official psn trophy cards. and their not available in the US yet.
I'm interested in a worldwide trophy leaderboard just because i'm curious what the "top" players are at...

The US site sucks SOOOOO much ass, I mean why the hell dont we have Gamercards on the US site?? I REALLY hope they get that together soon AND ad messaging and friend support to the websites as well!!
Tim Parsons @ Jun 29th 2009 4:44PM
,. is all that really nessasary? Seems like people are more concerned with Showing off their trophies and how much they game then actually gaming itself. I get distracted enough when someone messages me in mid-game (makes me wish In-Game XMB never happened LOL) , I guess this would be useful though for when your away from your PS3(work, or whatever)
I'd like to see Network saves so when I go to say my broters or if my PS3 were to die and some freak accident damged it I wouldnt lose everything.(and still be eligible for trophies on those saves, otherwise it'd be pointless

"Hopefully, it won't be long until we have an official PlayStation-sponsored portable Trophy card to display on forums"
Yeah, i didn't understand that either. We have had this for ages :p
Tim Parsons @ Jun 29th 2009 1:56PM
They should add a App to the XMB simular to PStore/Photo that is just for Trophies with all this kind of stuff. Then we don't have to use the browser or PC to veiw it
Kodros @ Jun 29th 2009 2:11PM
It would be super if SCEE and SCEA would have a joint team working on this stuff so that everybody would get it.
The1stMJC @ Jun 29th 2009 2:17PM
I have an American account and the EU trophy cards worked for me.
BigC3 @ Jun 29th 2009 2:40PM
Next stop, PSN messaging through PC internet???
Firewarrior @ Jun 29th 2009 2:48PM
Nice.
mikael @ Jun 29th 2009 2:53PM
They should just open up the database the official site uses for its info to the community and let us do the work.
Tim Parsons @ Jun 29th 2009 4:26PM
3rd Party sites alreayd have access to servers for Trophy sync go to Ps3trophycard.com only thing is you have to pay for it to auto sync(unless you in the top 100)
mikael @ Jun 30th 2009 12:41AM
Well, they're allowed to query a specific user. Let us query a game, a country, a date or a specific trophy and the fun would begin.
