Square Enix reveals European Dissidia collector's edition
Sure, Europe still has some slight delay when getting Square Enix PSP titles, when compared to the US, but at least when they arrive, they come with extra goodies. Crisis Core had a bonus art book and now Dissidia will be getting the collector's edition treatment. This special edition will include a regular boxed copy of the game inside clamshell packaging, as shown in the image to the right. Also in the box will be a "Best Selection Soundtrack Mini-CD," with specially chosen tracks from the game and liner notes by the composer.
There will also be a 48-page hardback artbook, similar to the Crisis Core one, and a Brady Games Official Miniguide and two lithograph prints. Not a bad package, overall, but we're still waiting for the announcement of the European release of the limited edition Dissidia PSP-3000. It is coming, right Square Enix?

Well the UK release is only 2 weeks later so I don't see why some US ppl can't wait...
I'll be buying the US copy for the gamespot covers and I'll pick up the LE when it hits stores...

There hasn't been any announcement that this game will be available as a download on the PSN. It's only currently scheduled for UMD release. The "mandatory" ? downloads do not start until after October 1st once the PSPGo get's released. So have waiting. It might be a while.

I like how the press release actually lists "clamshell packaging" as the very first feature.
This game is one of the reasons I bought a PSP. Totally buying it.

I just noticed it says "Best Selection Soundtrack Mini-CD"
Mini-CD... looking at the case it makes sense but then I don't have anything besides the 360 that has a proper CD tray... why not a UMD soundtrack DJ Max Style (albeit I never quite figured out how to get the tracks from DJ Max) with a few extras like trailers... but oh well suggestions are a bit late now lol
Roto13 @ Jul 4th 2009 2:36PM
Most of those non-tray CD drives will take mini CDs. Try it at your own risk. :P
Alternatively, you can download it. I can't see any problem doing that if you own it. :P

It's about damn time I heard a European-spec collector's edition, seeing how that continent's gaming community usually gets the shortest end of the stick.
For the record, this is the first time I heard of such.

Ah.... UK, you supplied my UMD copy of Patapon 2, now FFDissidia as well? I think I love you.
