Just like its Japanese counterpart, the English language version of
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will feature weekly downloadable content. Best of all, it'll be free! Expect updates every Friday for the next few months. The first content update, available today, is a new "Epic Hunting Quest" called "The Triumvirate of the Sands." This quest will feature the monsters Daimyo Hermitaur, Tigrex, Plesioth, and will take place in the desert (hence the "Sands" part, you see?). Survive and you'll be able to net 12300z.
In order to download the DLC, all you need to do is boot up the game in your PSP and click Download from the start menu. No need to log on to the PlayStation Network or download anything from the PlayStation Store. Not bad, huh?

is this that great of a game? this free dlc might be enough for me to buy this but i did just buy jeanne d'arc, generation of chaos, untold legends warriors's code, and i'm getting soul calibur broken destiny soon. (i went a little crazy around the used games in gamestop)

if your into time-consuming rpgs, then yes.
if you don't like hard games and hate time-consuming games, then no.
but seriously, this is 30 bucks for over 100 hours of gameplay, so it's your choice.

alright, i'll probably pick it up. and actually all 5 used psp games i've bought from gamestop have been in really good condition. umd is still fully intact and everything. no errors with the games whatsoever

Are this monsters too difficult to kill on single player? How much time does it take to kill them?

Well epic quests are usually HR5 and up, which means if you don't have any X or Z armor its impossible to solo. Plus Tigrex is already a headache alone. Although Tigrex, Plosioth and Daimyo Hermitaur are all weak against thunder weapons, but you don't want to fight more then one of them on the same map.

After trying to kill the "easiest" monster offered in the downloadable demo for over 20 minutes, I gave up. I don't mind difficulty, but I do mind tedium.

10 minutes for easy monsters
20~30 minutes for harder monsters.

this is a lie that this is the first dlc that is out for unite the first dlc that came out was a bonus pack, and 3 missions.
this update only includes the triumvirate of the sand and 1 lousey title you can use for you guild card.
the triumvirate would be lethal, i'm having enough trouble as it is with the tigrex, i have beaten it but i need to kill it over and over for materials for armour.

I got Monster hunter freedom unite and already got over 120+ hours...but i haven't gotten a single event quests yet...and the Tigrex isn't really that hard solo-ing it is pretty easy...except without porwer juices or mega juices...The Triumvirate of the sands seems quite simple to me..Daimyo and Plesioth would be the nuisance but the action starts at the Tigrex!..I got nothing but Z Armours...like gravios,diablos,hermitaur,ceanataur,conga,blango,khezu,narga,and lava...But i also got g-ranked elder dragons armour like Yami Tsukami (both gunner and blademaster), Auroros goku full B-M (Blade Master), and Dark Ukanlos....i just made Full Golden Moon B-M...sweeet...next is silver sol fulll B-M and Kaiser full B-M...anyway...good luck with the quest people..P.S..i mostly solo these things..The Game is soo friggin kick-ass..! P.P.S...i had 400+ hours on MHF2 also Full akantor and full silver sol from mhf2
