WipEout HD expansion in final testing
According to the PlayStation Europe Blog, WipEout HD's upcoming game-altering DLC, entitled Fury, is in final QA testing. Answering a short list of questions submitted by blog regulars, WipEout HD game director Tony Buckley and producer Paul Tweedle noted the expansion was in the "final phase" of testing and promised release information would be announced (via the PlayStation Blog) after it completes the process. Fury is set to add a laundry list of content, including 8 tracks, 13 ship models and 3 game modes, to the popular anti-grav racer.

I never got into the online either...I just alwaays assumed I would get destroyed seeing as how I can barely beat the computer.

Online is the shit, not hard to get a race and it's one of the most lag-less online games I've played on PSN. These new modes from fury should make it even better.
Don't get frustrated. I think I'm pretty good at wipeout (been playing the series since PS1) and I get my ass handed to me on the regular online. Maybe old age is slowing the reaction time.

Looking forward to the Zone Battle and Detonator modes.
But with regards to the trophies - Wipeout HD made me it's bitch.

It's about damn time! Well, while I wait for this to come out, I'll keep myself busy with Battlefield 1943 ;] can't wait for this expansion though, Eliminator was and is the best mode in WipEout! Endless hours of fun!

Funny thing about Wipeout HD.. I had my ps3 set to 720 because I heard Bioshock ran allot better at that rez.. and I went to play Wipeout and forgot to set it back to 1080p. I was shocked that the game turned all blurry and it might have been my imagination but the framerate was not 60fps. Normally I can bearly tell the diffeence but with this one it was like night and day. They must have optimized that game for pure 1080p 60fps.

Nope, runs the same no matter what resolution it's pumping out. Did you have any game installs or whatever in the background while playing your game? That's the only reason you shouldn't have seen a steady 60fps stream.

I dunno.. it just seemed like it ran at a lower frame-rate. Like I said it could have been my imagination. But the game definitely looked less sharp almost like AA was turned off. Then again I could have a crappy 720p scaler on my Samsung. Whatever the cause was it looked like they where generations apart.

It won't be free. But it'll be worth it.
