Japanese create new Fullmetal Alchemist game for PSP
The popular anime series is getting a brand new action game on the PSP. Fullmetal Alchemist: Senaka wo Takuseshi Mono is what Siliconera is calling a "bonds battle game," where players use two-man teams in battle against other teams. For example, Edward and Alphonse may fight against Hawkeye and Mustang. Teammates will need to work together to unleash co-op attacks by building their bond.
The Fullmetal Alchemist games have originally been released by Square Enix in the States, but the franchise has since moved to a smaller publisher, Destineer. We're not sure if this game will see Stateside release -- let's not forget all those Bleach games that have never seen a US release.

People who give spoilers in comments suck.

It bothers me to see the title of this post "Japanese create" rather than just "New Fullmetal Alchemist game for PSP." While it may be true, it's like saying "Americans make next God of War" ... it just seems redundant to be reminded that a Japanese anime is having a game made by a Japanese developer.

Hey, you've had 4+ years to find out that Hughes died a badass, so it isn't a spoiler :P

Weren't those Bleach games all sequels to the previous fighting game in the series?
Seems like this has a lot more merit. I'd buy it, but I'm worried, as it sounds like it's just a boring 2on2 fighting game.

I knew it,a lot of people does, but that doesn't mean that the entire world knows it and by making a comment like that you are taking away the suspense for the people who are just getting into the story.

Even though Destineer would be the US distributer, is this actually a Squenix-developed game? They are actually the co-owners of the FMA franchise (even the original manga is published by them) so it could be a solid game. The second and third PS2 games are actually pretty good and play a lot like Kingdom Hearts.

I agree with Miles. Any game in the series that Square-Enix actually develops should be published by them, too. They have more rights to the franchise than Destineer does. Though if the game is being developed by, let's say Namco Bandai (like with Dual Sympathy), then the game would probably be published by Destineer in the states.
