Toro and Kuro play mini-games in super-cute new title
The game will be available in Japan next week, and will also feature PSP connectivity through what appears to be a Tamagotchi-style minigame.

I wish they would put this out here. Sony needs a lovable mascot. Sackboy is nice, but I doubt we are going to see a collection of minigames with sackpeople. It would just be translation and licensing, right?

I've been playing this occasionally. The words pretty much detail what Joystiq already said. And it's based on cat that wants to become a human. Seemingly by helping people out and getting happy-slapped.

who cares if they wont bother offering it to people outside of Japan? not that I think these characters are bad (they are actually quite cool), but I just dont care about games I will never get to play (or understand even if I can get the game)
Just like the Toro Station many of us got for the trophies... I would love that so much more than Qore, but thats just not an option till Sony understands that we would buy it.
untill then, what does this story really do for us English speaking (and reading) folks?

This would be the prefect kind of game for Sony to use to try and entice Wii owners.
Lil_Mermaid_Girl @ Jul 18th 2009 4:23PM
I agree Kdiggy. If Sony would just of had the Mainchi Isshoy free "game" thing in the U.S. that japan has, and then add this, along with things LBP Sony may be able to get all those "new" or casual gamers that love the wii. It's fairly obvious that most of them would enjoy cute, causal games like this. But Sony isn't that smart. Even if they did bring it over, it's unlikely they'd ever advertise it.
But still it could be worth a shot. I mean are the people who are already Sony owners going to be enraged and hate sony for bringing this over? Unlikely. Most people who don't care about it won't bother. Those who do will. Sony should at least test toro and koro over in the states and europe. They never know maybe Sony might find out people other than the japanese can like things like this too.
