European PSN releases for July 30

Do not adjust your computer internet monitor screens! Yes, today is Wednesday. We know, it's confusing, but you'd best get used to it. SCEE intends on giving us a head's up on the week's PSN content drop a day ahead of release from now on, allowing us 24 hours to get our wallets prepped. This week we're sure you've got your sights firmly set on Fat Princess, but there's also the second episode of Watchmen: The End is Nigh, a Numblast demo and a couple of full PSP titles. Not to mention all the usual rhythm-game DLC for both PS3 and PSP.

They should do this every week
Heavytoka @ Jul 29th 2009 11:35AM
Oh wait they are lol, The US should do the same thing
LokeSTL @ Jul 29th 2009 11:47AM
I would love to see this in the US! Unfortunately, the staff on the US blog seems to have a bad attitude towards customers. It requires much bowing and ring kissing to get so much as a "we're looking into it" answer on there. Little to no communication from them at all. :-(
Mo @ Jul 29th 2009 2:02PM
americans prefer xbox
Ashitaka @ Jul 29th 2009 2:53PM
Hey, don't downvote the truth!
They may prefer it... but they shouldn't :P
Fane @ Jul 30th 2009 6:53PM
Downvoted because it's off-topic and therefore trollish. There's no reason to mention the 360 in a PSN post.
stormtrooper190 PSN= (im not telling you that) @ Jul 30th 2009 9:15PM
mo is awesome.
NitroMikeo @ Jul 29th 2009 11:39AM
Fat princess is a bit expensive.
JoeTheBlow @ Jul 29th 2009 11:42AM
Yeah, if only it was £2 less, its crossed my "impulse buy" pricepoint :-(
Especially after last week, with Shatter, WipeoutFury and the Killzone DLC.
Again, :-(
Mulligan_Mullet @ Jul 29th 2009 1:25PM
What about BOMBERMAN ULTRA?
Does anyone know when that`s coming out...
DamonTheMoney @ Jul 29th 2009 11:48AM
$15 IS NOT £12!!!!!
Why do they always raise the UK price point by £3?!!! It should be (technically) £9.15
GRRRRR

Ashitaka @ Jul 29th 2009 2:54PM
That's why I usually buy stuff from the US store. Even with taxes, it's cheaper that way -_-'
Str84rumBk (PSN) @ Jul 29th 2009 7:01PM
they dont charge me tax on my psn.
darthug @ Jul 29th 2009 12:22PM
Fat Princess £11. Ouch!
Scummer @ Jul 29th 2009 12:26PM
And $15 is not €15.
€14.99 is actually £12.85 at current rate, so rip off Britain is getting a slightly better deal than most of Europe.
This game has had a pretty lengthy development cycle - let's hope the additional work and promised in-depth gameplay help to justify the higher price point.
PS. €14.99 works out as $21.08 - I wonder what the US price will be?
JAckS @ Jul 29th 2009 12:29PM

$14.99
Jeff @ Jul 29th 2009 2:18PM
Sure, but if sales taxes are included in the UK price, wouldn't the final price be similar for North American customers?
Fane @ Jul 30th 2009 6:57PM
@ Jeff
EXACTLY. European prices are inflated, but not as much as they seem on first view.
Rich @ Jul 30th 2009 8:27PM
Fair enough - I always forget that you guys do the sales tax at point of sale.
$21.08 / 1.15 (VAT in the UK is now 15%) = $18.33, so only 22% more expensive than in the US.
I will definitely get Fat Princess as soon as my new debit card comes through. I cancelled the one that I lost and I cannot order on PSN until the new one comes through! D'oh.
DrunkMiffy @ Jul 29th 2009 12:27PM
£11.99? Bastards. They just lost a sale, mainly because I was prepared to put £10 in the wallet.. But £15, noo sir.
bub @ Jul 29th 2009 12:46PM
another pointless update. fat princess looks stupid anyway and there is no way im payin £11.99 for a game ill play once or twice. who actually buys the guitar hero tracks. POINTLESS and who the hells r the artists, stupid videos and does any 1 actually buy stuff for the psp on the store?
Brett from Atlanta @ Jul 29th 2009 1:01PM
You bite your tongue! Fat Princess is fantastic. I can tell you that the beta was great and I never got tired of it, even though the beta only had one of the many maps available in the full release tomorrow. To be quite honest, the price for that game is a steal. I fully expected to pay more.
dice (psn: dicea55) @ Jul 29th 2009 1:10PM
you must not kno much about fat princess, it has all the elements of a 40$ game, i would have paid 20$ easily and have no problem paying 15$. il be getting it the second it hits the psn
sony boy @ Aug 3rd 2009 12:31PM
what's numblast??
Billop @ Jul 29th 2009 3:55PM
A weird puzzle game. The full game is on the PSN right now, this is just the demo.
yupers @ Jul 29th 2009 1:02PM
theres fat princess, might need to wait to buy that one because i just got aerosmith tickets and a unicycle
WhiteShield @ Jul 29th 2009 1:27PM
awesome fat princess is out! but on a less awesome note, i really wish they had some solid downloadable psp titles. not ports or ps3 psn games but original games (and i already have beats) until dissidia and soul calibur and LBP come out i have nothing to play!
kosmocrisis @ Jul 29th 2009 2:04PM
Does anyone know what the Rag Doll Kung Fu Time Savers pack includes???
Billop @ Jul 29th 2009 3:52PM
All the costumes you can unlock, including Sackboy. people will buy it just for him. To unlock him you have to get plastic on all challenges.
kosmocrisis @ Jul 29th 2009 5:20PM
Damn! I've got Silver on all challenges, plastic and gold only once. They are challenging for sure. I'll definitely be playing this more, but at the cost of DLC, probably not. If its more than $1.99 US I will pass.
tomer @ Jul 29th 2009 3:38PM
Anyone know what time Fat Princess will be available for download? Been waiting for this one for a while and I cant wait to play it. If it says july 30 does that mean they will be on the PSN around midnight tonight??? Thanks guys, im sure someone out there knows what time they usually release stuff onto the PSN.
Billop @ Jul 29th 2009 3:53PM
Well Fat princess will be on when the PSN updates tomorrow. It updates at about 5:30 - 6pm GMT (12pm for Americans)
Billop @ Jul 29th 2009 3:54PM
I say that (12pm for Americans) but because thats what time the UK store updates. The American store doesn't update until about 11pm GMT, so about 5-6 hours later.
Denniro @ Jul 29th 2009 4:13PM
Fat Princess - day one purchase!
Windmill @ Jul 30th 2009 3:13AM
Fat Princess: BUY.
alex_dlc @ Aug 6th 2009 2:43PM

alex_dlc @ Aug 6th 2009 3:22PM
